AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
His partner's dad, who used to work at Freo, offered her a nice job at the new organisation he works at in Melbourne.
We’d be looking at more than a second round pick for Lobb. Lobb’s contract could be renegotiated for 3 years for $1.75Million. The reports I keep reading indicate about $700k per year so likely slightly overstated by our good media. We’ll be keeping him if a decent deal isn’t presented.I doubt anyone is actively pursuing Lobb. It’s clearly Freo putting it out there to gauge interest. Worth a pick in the 20s, but given his monster contract id say more so in the 30s.
LolI'd expect #7 and #15 for Lobb and our #25 but figured a straight swap for #7 would be less massively in our favor as it would need to be to release him.
Why would Geelong bluff when they can just be clear about what is needed for them to release Clark? They will still be chasing finals and Clark can be useful for them. A new recruit won't be.General opinion from non aligned footy people is that Jordan Dawson is worth a pick in the mid teens, that being the case Jordan Clark is really worth no more than 27. Freo may have to stump up slightly more for Geel to appease their fans but it should be a value in the 20's no more. If Geel baulk call their bluff.
It's a "we don't want to trade, but if you really, really want to..." trade value.I have always wondered if Taylor 's frequent absurd trade suggestions are a delightfully subtle mix of irony and trolling (A trade that values Lobb at 5. chefskiss.gif), or in fact serious.
Rory is already bringing in around $700K, so can't be about money. Either one of two thing the way i see it. 1. He's not happy at Freo/or wants to keep the misso happy and/or 2. He's been given a nudge and Fremantle have a set plan in place to bring a similar type into the club. I'm in favor of the 1st, which pisses me off considering what we did to recruit him.His partner's dad, who used to work at Freo, offered her a nice job at the new organisation he works at in Melbourne.
I get it mate - we don't agree on this. Let's just see what happens hey?Why would Geelong bluff when they can just be clear about what is needed for them to release Clark? They will still be chasing finals and Clark can be useful for them. A new recruit won't be.
I'm not worried about Geelong's list managers strategy in this, I'm worried about ours.
someone owes me a Carton.
Is that kind like, "Cos Stone Cold said so!"Carlton forum reckon pick 6 will get it done because "Matt Rendell said so".
He's part right..............pick 6 will be part of it.

IN | Potential Salary / Injury Dump from GWS. They owe us for Hogan. pick 54 seems fair, although maybe they get away with a second rounder. Latest word is that he is staying. | N/A | SPECULATION (CORNES)

IN | Re-Signed with Geelong | - | -
IN | Charlie Constable | Linked last year, and still unable to break into Geelong's side despite putting up good numbers week in/week out. Link with Brayshaw. Has a one year on offer from Geelong, looking at options | R4 | SPECULATION |
IN | Will Brodie | Showing some interest. GC will need to move on some players to create list spots. Should be pretty cheap. No further movement so far | F3-F4 | SPECULATION |
IN | Re-signed with Melbourne | - | -
IN | ??????? | Fyfe has used words such as "exciting" and other ITK's have hinted at something big happening behind the scenes. No-one yet has anything concrete, although rumours abound. Club is keen to keep it's first rounder(s) this year so anything would be for futures/players/late picks. All we know is a forward on the outer with their current club. McDonald? Fisher? | SPECULATION |

That's more or less the same as me: top price pick 27, or walk away.I get it mate - we don't agree on this. Let's just see what happens hey?
I've said it will be a value in the 20s for Clark and I stand by it - and yeah....... "it's just my opinion"
It could be about the money (so quite likely is) as in his manager wants to try to get a longer deal done now while he has trade value.Rory is already bringing in around $700K, so can't be about money. Either one of two thing the way i see it. 1. He's not happy at Freo/or wants to keep the misso happy and/or 2. He's been given a nudge and Fremantle have a set plan in place to bring a similar type into the club. I'm in favor of the 1st, which pisses me off considering what we did to recruit him.
Is two years on 700k then possibly being punted better than 3 years on 400k and living with your partner where she wants to be?Rory is already bringing in around $700K, so can't be about money. 2 years thanks. Is two years on 700k then possibly being punted better than 3 years on 400k and living with your partner where she wants to be?
Personally I think 27 is fair but it will be between 20 and 27 IMOThat's more or less the same as me: top price pick 27, or walk away.
If he's not prepared to play wing and only interested in defense, then is there any point in trading?Personally I think 27 is fair but it will be between 20 and 27 IMO
