I am just not interested in Cerra, just doesn’t do it for me. TBH would rather go back to the draft, you see the excitement and immediate impact young top 10 mids have in a side..

with Charlie Curnow back, Kemp fit and a top 10 mid we will have an automatic mini reboot.

I'd prefer to go to the draft, too, but I'm not sure I rate this year's crop of midfielders who would be available at our pick. I'd rather split the pick and turn it into two players.

Cerra, would be a good get at the right price 1x First and $650k... Don't see him as a match winner...

Would rather keep playing Dow and SPS in the middle, in a better environment they could really excel...
Then you have Martin, Stocker, Fisher and Gibbons not even getting a run on the ball or the wing...
Also Carroll, Ramsey, Honey & Kemp, all of whom could run through there pushing from below..

We need to trade for KPP depth before a super expensive winger..

Kid is going to be a monster, actually already is. Him and tdk would be a great pair for the next 10 years, and would give our existing midfield an armchair ride.

He just re-signed with Freo. So there’s no chance of picking up Darcy.

I think its a year to just let the list settle a little.
The talent is there. It just needs to find some consistency.
Bring in another 4-5 through the drafts in roles of need (wing, KKP, Small Forward). And maybe try and cherry pick a fringe player from somewhere else that suits a need on a value contract.

Elliott Himmelberg from the crows is one. Behind Walker Thilthorpe Fogarty Lynch Framton and OBrien at Adelaide at the moment.
Athletic 198cm that plays forward back and ruck. And starting to hit that age where 198cm players begin to find their feet.

I know Adelaide were tied up in it and these trades often roll from one year to the next.
Also, wasn’t the guts of the Gibbs trade DeKoning and Kennedy ?
Time flies and the memory dies …

Edit : Reckon O’Brien pick was part of the Gibbs trade as well.

Cerra was very good last night, especially in the first half. He’s the same draft vintage as Dow, already shown plenty with a weak supporting cast and still has lots of improvement. I am very keen for the right price.

Yeah he’s a nice player but the price is important.
Keen to take our 1st rounder to the draft but you’d imagine Freo would demand it in any kind of trade …

We traded our first round future pick to Adelaide for 2 picks, one which got us Stocker (think around pick 20 or so) and also their future first round.

There’s footage of SOS looking very happy when we got Stocker, which says a lot because SOS doesn’t show much emotion.

I think we need another half back flanker on big money! Lets go get a mid from another club and pay them over so our young mids can rot in the VFL or played out of position.
If Lloyd brings in Cerra on big money and gives our first pick away again it will highlight the incompetence of our entire football department.
It’s amazing when you play draftees in the positions they were recruited to play in and given game time what they can do.

Was the Adelaide future 1st rounder then split into Kemp and Philp ?
Meaning we traded a future 1st for Stocker, Kemp and Philp ?
