I'd say Marchbank might get bought out. Also, does Doch go on the LTI list?
Precisely and more to go LOB ,Fisher & Dow all light framed easily pushed off the ball, reckon they’ll be scrutinized in season 2022, problem is they’ve not build up core strength and or physiques much, after 4 AFL seasons a bit of a worry. The aerobic capacity is an issue too if one considers them all as rotational midfielders.I'd say we are moving away from lighter types (SPS, Gibbons, Ramsay) towards more power athletes

Yup agree, selflessness and professionalism personified.Doc’s the sort of guy who would retire rather than clog our list. Selfless to the max.
No current season stats available
Just doing it alphabetically.delisting gibbons before cottrell is mind boggling
I hope you're consistent and are bagging Murph in 10 years time. Great work.Good luck to Gibbo. Very good decision by the club IMO. Like SPS is not even close to a top 4 club midfielder. As a small forward doesn’t have the the defensive traits at all.
Its not just about stats winning. It’s about letting the opposition escape with the ball. To the eye Fogarty/Owies/Honey put up more of a fight in that category.
Could this be the start of a smart coaching group and selection decisions. We don’t need Murphy clones.
Yes. But only after the National Draft (unlike last year). Can we rookie Marchbank until he gets his body right?
Didn't hurt Kennedy when we did it.
Might take someone like Akuei as a CatB.There is an AFL rule that states you can only retain 3 Category A rookies from the previous season on the rookie list.
By the end of the season we had 8 due to the 2 picks in the MSD.
We have only lost Eddie Betts off the rookie list so far, so we sit at 7.
Kennedy, Honey and Mirkov all have contracts.
Parks, Cottrell, Boyd & McDonald do not.
Unless we upgrade Kennedy and/or Honey, we will have to cut all 4 players without contracts.
We have the option to re-rookie them with the three vacancies we create.
I think Kennedy gets upgraded and takes that 3rd live ND pick, and we draft 2 kids.
This will mean that we can retain one of the four rookies above, I feel it would be Parks or Boyd.
The other 3 will be cut, at least for first list lodgement, with the potential to be re-rookied. Although it doesn't usually happen for rookies, more for senior list demotions.
As a Cat B Rookie, Owies sits outside of this. Is allowed one more year on the Cat B list, so its a no brainer to retain him there for one more season.

Yes, definitely within the parameters and is possible if we go with a 38-4 (senior-rookie) structure. So, after acquiring Young, Cerra and Hewitt and delisting Gibbons and Ramsay do we have 34 remaining on the senior list? And, can we take a further 2 in the ND and upgrade Kennedy and Honey which would bring us up to the maximum number of 38? If so, could LOB stay on the senior list where he is now (provided they want him)? If Kennedy and Honey are upgraded to the senior list then that would leave us with 5 rookies and only 2 of those would have to be delisted and be replaced with this year's rookies. Is that anywhere close to being right?
Definitely, I have Owies and Akuei in the two Cat B spots on our list.Might take someone like Akuei as a CatB.
Maybe, but I guess that's why Durdin is also there - and he looks a real goer based on the one game I've seen. He's pretty one dimensional in the way he plays and I suspect has a limited ceiling. Doesn't mean there isn't a place for him in an AFL side if he does a few things REALLY well but I think we're leaving a lot on the table if he is ultimately our best option as a small forward.
I'll be Happy if Vossy can turn him around. Both Him and Dow have great attributes but just can't find that consistency. Not getting much opportunity under Teague, then getting dropped again due to the teams overall poor performance doesn't help.Old mate Soapy posted LOB is staying on the main board. Harry will be licking his lips over that prospect.
Bit perplexed by this? You don't feel like he's delivered as a small forward considering his limited opportunities?
I thinks he has done an excellent job, nailing most of his shots at goal and working hard defensively. I'd rate him as a success this year TBH.
I thought you’d finally made peace with the fact that Gibbons probably wouldn’t make it?
Will he get picked up elsewhere? I doubt it…
I hope you're consistent and are bagging Murph in 10 years time. Great work.
