I'm angry. I'll probably post some things that I'll be embarrassed about days/weeks from now. But honestly, fu** it.

Saad was the worst acquisition ever.

Pick 8. It is doubtful he was worth it let alone the other sh*t that comes with it.

Pushed Simmo out the door as we were into him.

Only goes one way (90% of the time)

Butchers it almost as often as he does something positive.

Marketing > football results.
Saad has been great. Poor post. Has a crack, great defensive game with some flair. If we were playing decent footy he would tear it up

I'm past angry, I've now kind of excepted we are shit. Until they prove otherwise..
Kade is our past. His nearly 37yo, him Betts, Casboult, Curnow, Newman and Murphy aren't going to be part of our premiership future

Saad isn't our worse. We seriously can't carry Plowman and Docherty in the same backline anymore..

When fit, our backline should be;

Our Back 7
Parks - Jones - Docherty
Williams - Weitering - Saad

7th defender Newman

Think some people in this forum need to be reminded u can’t play half the team in the midfield. Good young players adapt such as mills and cerra who played back in their first couple of seasons. Unless your an out and out star from the get go u can’t be commanding a mid spot until u earn it. None of our young players have done that so far except Walsh.

Just keep the same list except for Murphy, Betts and Casboult and develop and coach them properly.
This will happen jelly and all three will probably be off the list by the end of the year.

But what do we do now - drop Murphy? Betts and Gibbo are doing SFA and should be dropped ahead of Murphy imo but who do we bring in, Fisher when fit would replace either of these two.

Drop Casboult? Pitto is an average ruckman at best at this stage and needs ruck support from who - TDK and possibly OMac when fit would make it easier to replace Cas.

Our other issue atm is the likes of Crippa, Williams, McG, Doc (our highest paid players) are down and underperforming - not sure under development is their issue.

Let's wave the magic wand and fast forward to round 18. Everyone is fit and available besides Marchbank.

What does our best side look like? Hopefully we are moving past the old gaurd and our youngsters are coming on.

Who needs to come back in and why-

Parks- competitor and makes Jones and Weitets job easier. I know he's only played two but the defence looks more cohesive when he's there.

Newman- tackles hard. Competes hard. Most of all his foot skills. Desperately need to get the best ball users on the park.

TDK- can ruck. Can leap. Can go forward. Pitto is just babysitting his position until he is fit.

Martin- x factor. No brainer.

Fisher - see above

Charlie - (magic wand has worked and he is out there) good luck stopping Charlie and Harry.

JSOS- we just look better with him out there. Great pressure. Good decision maker. Clean user of the ball.

Side to look something like this-

FB- Doc Weitering Parks
HB- Saad Jones Newman
C- SPS Cripps Cuningham
Fol- TDK Walsh Williams
HF- Martin Charlie Fog
FF- JSOS Harry Fisher
Int- Plowman, McGovern, Stocker, Dow

Emergencies from- Cotrell, Kemp, Setterfield, Philp, Carroll, Gibbons

Eddie, Murphy, Casboult can go down to the 2s and help bring the kids through.

Team is so unbalanced, how about we start drafting for needs not the best players. We have about 20+ midfielders on our list, were are the developing tall forwards and defenders. Think its time to invest early picks to cover for Jones, Marchbank, C Curnow and Casboult.

What about some small forwards and or small defenders that can chase, tackle and harass, who know the craft before being drafted. These types of players usually dont cost much draft capital either, later picks or rookies.

Backup ruckman, if Pittonet went down who comes in. Is younger Walsh available? If he had half the heart of Sam you would pick him up tomorrow. I personally think TDK could be a better forward who rucks not the other way around.

We dont use the draft and trade period properly. In the NFL Kansas City lost Superball because their offensive line couldnt protect quarterback Mahomes. What they did was trade for best OL player available but it cost them in picks.

When we have gone to the draft, the players have usually been good picks, its when we have tried to play them out of position they have struggled. Weitering classic example natural defender force forward put his development back 18 months, look at him now! Same as trades what has inclusion of Williams and Saad done. Setterfield has gone out to a wing and gone backwards, Williamson struggled, you could also add Newnes inclusion to LOB's struggles.

Time for a rethink when it comes to list management.

Many of our mids seem rather odd in that they look completely lost if they aren’t playing on ball all the time.

This applies to Setters, Dow and Kennedy. I don’t see this phenomenon at other clubs.

He's been ok and is a decent player. Don't reckon he's worth pick 8, but more than that, don't think he was the right player for us at the time. That was some serious currency for a nearly 27 year old, who largely relies on speed. It probably won't ever look like a disastrous trade but I think it will be judged as the wrong call, in the long run.

Agree - Dow more than the others. I think Setters is capable of the rotation up forward. He's better than what he's produced this year. Was very good yesterday - reckon he'll get the recall.

Not great, especially when ESS just replaced with a better performing HBF at a fraction of the draft cost & player $’s in Hind.

5yrs will be a long contract.
