as wayne carey softly chuckles into his beer in the channel 7 bar...........I doubt Tex will be playing footy again. He can certainly kiss goodbye the media career he may have been considering after footy.

Just remember they have not forgotten about the Yarran trade..Richmond have seven.
Soldo, Nankervis, Colina, Coleman-Jones, Ryan, Chol and Nyuon....although they list Coleman-Jones and Samson Ryan as 'key forwards' despite drafting them as ruckmen.
I'd be more than happy to take Chol off their hands as a free agent, thank you very much.
sometimes you see a comment and realise the person has little or no idea about the game …. dominant ruckman are crucial come September!!
Revert to the original plan perhaps? Maybe we can ask Kreuz if he is willing to pull on the boots as a playing-coach a la Mumford at GWS.I just find it hard to think of a player that would fit the bill of being potentially a stop gap ruckman for a season who is better then Pitto. No one better then Pitto will be cheap or expect to be a stop gap ruck.
It’s abit of the old, crap and cheap or good and expensive. We are going to want to play TDK for 22 games next season too so it’ll depend on where we see him playing those games and if we think Harry, Curnow, SOJ/McGovern and a ruck or TDK can all fit in the same forward line.
Kreuzer? What about asking Dean Cox or Sandilands?Revert to the original plan perhaps? Maybe we can ask Kreuz if he is willing to pull on the boots as a playing-coach a la Mumford at GWS.
Sure its a long shot, his body has been through a fair bit, but he is still involved in the club, and hopefully the almost 2 years away from playing has refreshed him.
Ask him if he has 12-15 games in him.
I'd still additionally target Ladhams. Kreuz and de Koning arent the most durable bunch.
And have 2 of TdK, Kreuz and Ladhams play week in week out. Bit of a rotation system similar to what GWS roll out at the moment. Pitto break glass option.
yep….
Ask Richmond how important Nankervis has been to their premiership success
why did Clarkson go after McEvoy / Hale ?
Ottens / Geelong
Jolly / Collingwood
watch the 2001-2 GFs … Keating
even watch the Blues last final win …. Kreuzer / Warnock destroyed Ivan and set it up for Judd & co !!
Also you referenced "dominant" ruckmen, so whilst the likes of Nankervis, McEvoy, Hale, Ottens, Jolly are/were good ruckmen they were hardly dominant.yep….

The examples you give are of good serviceable ruckmen which I really don't think Pittonet is that far from that description as I can't think of one game this year where Pittonet got so badly beaten that it made me feel we required an urgent upgrade the ruck.
Throw in TDK continuing to improve in the next 12-24 and our ruck division is fine.

No guarantee we keep Pitto. He's OOC.
How so ? Isn't he contracted to 2026 ?Coniglio just became much more available. GWS would love to off load him.
Really good fit for us and much cheaper than before

Geez, I dislike it when posters here tell others posters they have no idea about the game. We are all footy fans with different experiences and opinions. People aren't lacking because their experience is different. Just say you disagree and present evidence as to why you think the opinion is wrong.
