Or the pear .
There's not many teams to barrack for

Dogs - Beveridge. Hell no
Cats - Dangerfield. Hell no x infinity plus one
Port - will have to leave town if this happens
Melb - Lever. See Cats

WCE and Richmond look done.

The clubs who might limp in to 8th won't win (Freo, St K, GWS, Ess)

That leaves Brisbane and Sydney. Slim pickings

JUH had 7 disposals, 1 mark, 1 tackle and no score. Meanwhile, on other debuts...

Lance Franklin: 6 disposals, 2 marks, 1 tackle, no score
Jack Riewoldt: 5 disposals, 2 marks, 2 tackles, no score
Jonathan Brown: 0 disposals, 0 marks, 1 tackle
Nick Riewoldt: 3 disposals, 1 mark no tackles, 1 behind
Josh Kennedy: 3 disposals, 2 marks, 1 tackle, no score

Not every KPF who doesn't have a TT-type debut is the next Jack Watts. JUH will be fine, people (not necessarily in this thread) almost seemingly want to see him fail for God knows what reason.

My preference;
Brisbane
Sydney
Then anyone but the pear !

I still think pear are a sneaky chance as they will finish in the 4. if they get their injured players back in Fanta , butters , dersma, Jones, Gray
anything can happen

think rocky and Hartlett are cooked .

Brisbane #1 for Jarryd Lyons.

Don't care about Lever winning a flag so would have Melbourne #2

All the other likely teams can get stuffed

I agree, not that I condone it any context but people forget Wawrinka had just left his wife and new born for Vekic who was much younger than him. So there was a bit more to it than just the history between Kokkinakis / Vekic.

I don't care about that stuff, nor do I hate the bloke. I just find him to be a hypocrite with a lack of respect for his profession and fellow players and I do not understand why media give him any attention. Luckily it usually only for a week at most at two grand slams a year.

But if Melbourne win we rise in clubs with longest flag drought rankings.

Good lord. Quite daunting how quickly we've turned from contenders to "please keep the other useless perennial shit kickers below us."

You guys have it in the bag - no further discussion needed.

Perhaps, our form after the bye hasn't been too bad. While I don't expect to pass Crows (would take 3 wins to zip), I am not sure Hawthorn will legitimately try to win any more games from here on.

We play a few flaky sides like Eagles, Carlton, Essendon and on current form... Richmond with your mob in the last round. It is not that I think we are that good that we will pass anyone, I just have low confidence in a lot of the other teams apparently trying to make the top 8 with 6-7 wins for the year. I would be confident with Brad Scott's potato-filled squad of a few years ago of comfortably routing a fair chunk of the upcoming teams we are playing.

It is kind of depressing rebuilding during these times, it is no surprise Swans doing so well after a few years rebuilding, there aren't many good quality teams going around atm.

Unless your club really aren't fussed about pick 1 or getting Horne, I'd be surprised if they let themselves become open to climbing up - it's your time to make the most of things this year. The Hawks beating GWS was a bit of a surprise - opens them to climbing up a spot, maybe they'd be happy to get Callaghan/Roberts/..., will be interesting to see what happens with them the next few rounds.

There are a lot of good players, I am sure the club will be happy with whomever we get, but there seems to be a much bigger drop-off between Daicos/Horne and the next group than there was last year, so far. Not sure if things will change.

But who knows, this time last year I thought we would get McDonald or Hollands.

Yes but the comeback was beautifully done, Forza Italia, it’s going Rome
England players too concerned with what colour hair dye they were all going to use after winning. Lesson learned you'd think

That is a good thing as it shows our ******* incompetence. We will be there with Saints and Carlton - two of the worst clubs in the AFL for shitness.
Also Freo, GC, GWS in never winning one. Personally, I hope Brisbane get up (but Hipwood going down makes that difficult)....all the other options make me feel a bit ill...
