Just saying it how I see it.
Guys sitting on the bench watching as his players are basically jogging on field.
Doesn't instil a vote of confidence of his ability to command a younger playing group.
If he gets picked up by brady and co as an assistant type then of course I'll support him as I have for other coaching positions that I was weary of before this.
More than happy to be proven wrong :)

And they think the way out of this mess is to turf out a young coach. A new coach and they spend a year resetting their game plan and restructuring their list.

They need to make a couple of hard calls on some of their bigger money recruits and move them on, and spend the money they would allocate to a Clarkson or Lyon on some highly regarded senior assistant and line coaches and in their list management team. For carlton its always been the big name, big money recruit to get them out of the mire.

Look at *, made a brave call to not overpay for Saad, and recruited Hind who provides similar run and carry and is a good lockdown defender.

A lot of the commentary I have heard about Carlton this year has been that, though they have some good individual defenders, their defensive system is rubbish. That is on the coaching staff.

Indeed; if you look at it in broader organisational terms, Carlton have never recovered from John Elliott's corrupt regime; ever since, the Board has never settled on a coherent long term strategy. Chucking Ratten for Malthouse, Brendan Bolton, now Teague - in the ultimate it's a failure of Board governance

Yeah, imagine having the audacity to ask a HB flanker to pick up his man, outrageous

Yeah, yeah. That's what we all love to say about Carlton - that's there must be some behind the scenes reason why they're sh*t. They shouldn't have sacked Ratten but the following two coaches just haven't shown been able to implement a coherent game plan and show improvement. Carlton's list is not that bad. I don't watch their games but have repeatedly heard that their defensive system / what they do when they don't have the ball is not up to AFL standard. Either there's not a good system there or the players don't understand it. (I don't buy that their players are just lazier than other clubs' players.) Is that on the board or the coaches?

I like Teague but he should follow Clarkson and take a year out of the game. He lost half a head of hair doing that job, he needs a recharge.

More midfielders?
look what we've done with hall and JZ. Kanye. Zurharr should probably be a mid that rotates forward too. Tarryn can play forward but is a mid.

I'm all for having elite runners that can play anywhere kind of like the dogs. Getting in talls like Keath and Bruce to fill it out can come later.

umm, the board employs the coach

Posted in another thread… Watching Sam Hayes today for Port against South Adelaide, is one that I’d really like.

Is contracted for 2022. Apparently they rate him but he’s low in the peaking order.

Hope we ask the question.

I guess I’d be supportive of this…..haha

I really want a murderous one, like Mummy.

Is Jacob Hopper still OOC?

Not sure if he fits from a needs perspective but having a great season.

Plus BFNAAK.
