I wouldn't rock the boat by bringing Wingard back.

Just think of all the premierships we've won since we removed his bad influence!

Thank God he wasn't here encouraging all the other boys to get on Fortnite the night before the prelim, imagine if they'd all started the game flat and tired. We would've been a laughing stock

I want Chad back. Reckon they'd do it for a second rounder at this point too.

Id take:
Mitchell
Omeara
Chad

In that order.

Our first for Mitchell? I'd do that.

Same but I'd probably take Chad before Jaeger. Just.

So Jordan Dawson's family as well as his partners family all hail from Kingston/Robe. It's all about proximity to family according to Dawson.

Kingston/Robe is over a 3.5 hour journey to Adelaide. It is a 6 hour journey to Melbourne. A bit of a difference, but not a massive difference.

If Adelaide want to get all tough and shit and push this towards a PSD, would North have the balls to pull the trigger?

I'm in the Mitchell for our first club too, but I think the problem will be convincing him to come to Adelaide if there are suitors in Melbourne. Wingard is the most realistic out of the 3 on that score as there will be no issue in getting him to come home, the problem will be whether he, the "Coach" and the playing group can make up and put their shoulders to the wheel.

I get the feeling we are not just shopping Ladhams around to get an extra pick in the draft, so surely we've got plans to trade for someone.

Titch and O'Meara as pure midfielders is appealing, but I'm more tempted by the prospect of Chad back who can rotate with Rozee between fwd/mid so we aren't robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Its not so much the physical distance, its about being in the same State with potential Covid travel restrictions in the next 12 months. The same with Finlayson, they want to be able to see family at will and not be apart due to Covid restriction.

Covid restrictions will be over by next year.... the bed wetters will finally be defeated.

Davies also discussed the futures of ruck/forward Peter Ladhams and midfielder Sam Powell-Pepper who have both been linked to other clubs during the trade period.

As part of the end of season exit reviews both Ladhams and Powell-Pepper were given the option to explore opportunities that would give them more game time in the positions they are wanting to play, with Davies explaining the conversations as “amicable”.

“Suggesting that someone can explore their options and that someone should are two very different things.” Davies explained.

“Allowing someone to explore doesn’t mean you are pushing them out the door and certainly doesn’t mean you are committed to doing a deal down the track.

“I think it is important to leave your exit interviews with some clarity around the roles that you think players can play.”

If a deal were to be done, Davies said the club will be wanting to get as much out of it as the market allows but admits at the moment he would be surprised if the two were to find new homes.

“Right now, we’re not thinking that either of those players are going to go and that won’t be a bad thing for our club.

“They are both people who we think are going to have a role to play at our club next year.

“For them to leave we would need to be getting something we think is going to be beneficial to the club both in the short and long term.”

How many players have we let go that have gone on to improve elsewhere?

The only ones in recent history that I can think of are Dougal Howard & Will Snelling. Any others?

You could argue Howard I guess. Might be the same though more than an improvement. But plays week in week out I think which he didn't for us
