Offensively I like it, however Andy's most underrated feature is that he is probably a top 5 tackler in the league. From what I've seen Hollands doesn't tackle or run defensively to the elite level Andy does.
Hollands is probably the most defensively minded mid in the top 20. Was given a job on Ashcroft in the NAB League finals.

Works hard and stays in the contest, repeat efforts to pressure.

Averages 6 tackles a game while still being a ball winner.

Yep. It's been Hollands for months. Right player filling the biggest need in the right range.

We can dream about Humphrey all we want but it ain't going to happen.
Can make things happen if we are bold.
The biggest need is opinion based,we have two quality big forwards but no quality mid sized forwards who will kick 30+ goals, absolutely need that quality mid sized forward to be able to win games at the business end of the season.
Walsh & Cerra should be used as outside mid fielders.

Personally haven't seen or read anything like that, but as stated in a previous post I'm not as up to date with this draft as I'd like to be. If this is true then Holland's is a REAL no brainer in my books, fills a need pretty well.

Holland is Walsh lite, with a few differences

Strengths:

We know he has a massive tank. Genuinely dual sided, wins his own footy, tough, courageous, 2 way runner, more inside/contested, strong footy IQ, reads the next phase very well

Areas of improvement:

Lacks genuine speed, although not slow, kicking penetration, scoreboard impact, cleaner in congestion, lowering his eyes to hit short to mid range targets

While I have a few ahead of him in our pick range, even players that can play that outside role to greater effect, I wouldn't be disappointed due to his strengths, which I believe ensures he has a high floor

Hollands is a safe selection

Holland's who is renowned for his elite defensive pressure and tackling prowess for someone of slighter frame isn't defensive minded and closer to LoB... dear lord have some of you ever actually watched one of his games? His workrate defensively is off the charts, the only knocks on him are his upside offensively given he doesn't have as many weapons as others in the draft

Not defending his indefensible behaviour at all, but isn't this game all about second chances and given people and players the opportunity the chance to better themselves and prove they can evolve past previous toxic behaviour?

Not a popular opinion I know, but he was still a very young person when he committed his awful crimes, is it not possible that he has learnt his lesson and hopefully reformed ???

How are human beings supposed to learn and better themselves if we don't give them the opportunity to do so ???
get back to me when it's your partner, sister, daughter, mother he's bashed in a "loss of control"............think about what you're saying, ffs............

I was wrong, I’ve become a fan of Philipou hoping a miracle and his available at pick 10 but doubt it, Humphrey too! Something about Hollands doesn’t excite me

Haha, the templated big footy user.

No excitement from the media, he’s shit don’t want him.
Media get involved, too 5 pick bound…..I really, really want him

Calm down drama queen. Those knocks are significant I would think. ‘he doesn’t have as many weapons as others in the draft’. You said it yourself.

I hope he has learned and reformed.

I also hope his victim has been able to heal physically and emotionally from the trauma of the assault.

I don't know if either of those has actually happened.

I agree that it is important to give people the opportunity to learn from their mistakes and better themselves.

I don't think that recruiting someone to an AFL list is a necessary part of giving them that opportunity.

I don’t give a stuff about the Brayshaw/LOB comparisons!!!!

Just tell me how he compares to Albert Proud FFS!!
