I think that works out really well for our girls.
The only thing I would have preferred is if it was on Saturday and not Sunday so that they have a full week for preparation for the Prelim.

Gives Freo a good chance to take it up to Adelaide too, which means if we can get over both Collingwood and Melbourne we could yet have a Grand Final at the Gabba.
If we win it will mean we will play up against a Melbourne side hasn't played a game of football for 3 weeks. Advantage us I'd think.

I know its a little premature, but i wonder who moves on from this side given the compressed seasons. On one hand you would think expansion clubs would be trying to raid the list, but aflw bonus player pays are attached to team success, so you wonder who will move on.

Yeah I think we are the big winners here, but it is a shame for the competition. To be honest it's unfair on Melbourne and gives us an advantage, but that's the way the cookie crumbles I suppose. A 3 day break or something similar for us would have been more unfair, this is probably the best possible solution. I wouldn't be surprised if we now see a Lions-Dockers grand final (at the Gabba!) Can't wait for the Pies game, not seeing that as a monty either

Three days turnaround wont be a big issue, but deal with the pies first.

Could see the Bombers trying to get Ruby Svarc she did play for their VFLW team. They also might go after Ally back in 2019 she played some games for their VFLW team hasn’t been don the past few years because of Covid.

I think having to work a second job makes moving interstate harder - they already have supportive employment. Why risk that?

We have already been raided twice.
It time for other clubs to get raided.

I'd be surprised if Port haven't had a word to Indy Tahau about a move back home.
She was definitely one that I was thinking about and maybe a club might come after Jess Weutchner possibly, with her not playing in the team at the moment all bar for other reason rather than playing ability.

I kind of get the impression Jess might retire rather than switch clubs. :(

Any guesses as to who? Maria Moloney is the only player who comes to mind for me.....

We have been quite lucky with injuries to our midfielders and really need this type of depth. I hope we can keep most players.

Moloney has been emergency more times than she has played. Played well last opportunity, but still didnt keep her place. Keep in mind Mullins, Seton, Smith or Roy could fill this position from the academy, with potentially more upside.

Moloney is an obvious one, next cab off the rank, but a pretty stacked midfield. Would be a cornerstone of an expansion club.

Svarc will stay imo, play with her sister Starcevich building a quick side and she is quick.

Harmer played for Maroochydore on the weekend, which says to me she is down the order. Would get games elsewhere

Collingwood will miss all of next season, is very skilled but always been a bit light. 2nd acl, its a tough road.

Lutkins will miss all of next season. I would like to see her involved with the academy and left on the list. Best back in the comp at her best. Only question is her age and if she wants to miss 18 months.

Postlethwaite coming off a serious knee injury but super popular in the group. I would think the lions keep her. A fair bit of talent too

Smith dont know much about her tbh, first year so I would think she gets another chance.

Yoshida Martin i was surprised when she was drafted, but 3 games for 12 touches in total... for a pressure forward I dont think she is quick enough. They obviously see something in her.

Wuestschner who knows, at her best very good, but facing some issues. Fell out of the team early in the year.

Pauga this kid can play, hasn't been given much opportunity. Would get games elsewhere.

Webb being closer to the end than the beginning I dont think its a great sign to only get a couple of games.

Somebody mentioned Tauhu, but i think Bris would really, really want to keep her.

Bit more of an incentive to beat the Pies
Winner play Melbourne at the MCG Saturday 2nd April at 12.40PM
