After losing Henry, it makes sense to me to not take him. Potential attitude problems and a flight risk? We can do better imo.

Where’s the attitude problems come from?

If you listen to him speak he is probably the most professional of the whole draft crop. He even said himself he was probably trying to overdo his workload too much.

Also seems content moving. At a time when many draftees seem willing to openly state their preference to stay home.

Means nothing really. Could just be that we don’t expect him to be available to us.

Grundy has better, aerobic capacity, mobility, and ground ball/stoppage impact than either. If he played in the PF, we win as others have said.
It's time to let this go. Fly obviously doesn't agree with any of those and he's now a Melbourne scum pile. The only way you are going to win this fruitless contest is if Grundy all of the sudden regains his 2018 form, and that's not going to happen. I really believe he will have an adverse effect to their midfield and by round 18, Melbourne will be wondering what the hell they've done

Smells of West Coast muddying the waters like they did with Darling.

Still, in 18 years Hine has never selected a Western Australian in the first round of a ND and none inside the top 30 so the odds aren't great for Hewett being at Collingwood next year.

This whole Elijah hewett go home Saga is odd as he categorically states in this recent interview: "I'm so excited at the prospect to go anywhere". Just draft the kid

Go back - you’ll see this discussion started when I suggested Barnett would not be our first pick, as McCrae doesn’t rate a Ruckman as our Top priority.

I'll be interested to see tonight/tomorrow night which horrible live trade the Gold Coast Suns will do to benefit Geelong.

imagine they draft Jhye Clark just to give him a nice gentle start to his career in the sun and surf before they send him the Cats in 2 years. That crazy pick trade they gifted Geelong a few years back and the Pick8 stuff this year makes me wonder if there are a few ex-Cats driving things at the Suns?

I don’t mind Magor, Van Es, Scully or the other ruckman out of SA mentioned recently (sorry his name escapes me) at that pick, would be happy with any of those.
I think you could be thinking of Verrall he looked a good prospect, I have heard his name mentioned before re Collingwood.

If you ask any Geelong supporter they genuinely believe that the Suns are still in debt to then for taking GAJ 🤦

While I wouldn't be against it with Elliott, Ginnivan, Hill, Daicos x 2 and McCreery already in our mix it would be a surprise if we went with him at our 1st selection wouldn't it?

I think Hill plays wing.

N Daicos is a half back who projects to midfield.

J Daicos plays the other wing.

Ginnivan and McCreery are the only two really impacted by drafting Clarke, who is at the complete opposite end of the age profile spectrum to Elliott.

I’m not at all against drafting Clarke, I think he has a high ceiling.
