I noticed that time frame also and did a bit of searching around but couldn't find anything.Just as an aside, the mechanism for bringing Seed & Moose back onto our list was a DFA period - from 10-11pm last night. Has anyone seen any confirmation, on the AFC or AFL websites, regarding these list changes?
No, we were allowed to move players from the senior list to the rookie list between the ND & RD. The mechanism for this was delisting them, then re-signing them during a DFA period, between 2200-2300 last night (AEDT).I think that was only a one time deal during COVID
Yeah, well... we can't afford to pay out the delisted players who were contracted for 2023.Turner shouldn't have been drafted, McPherson shouldn't have received his last contract, and a ruthless club would not be redrafting any of Turner, McPherson, or Seedsman.

Refer to November 29, in this AFL media release:
Sign and Trade Period dates
No, I'm referring to:Are you referring to the
Because that's what we used to upgrade Butts and Strachan
- Rookie Upgrade Period opens (10pm)
- Rookie Upgrade Period closes (11pm)
No, I'm referring to:
Note that both of these periods (DFA & rookie upgrade) happen at the same time.
- AFL Delisted Player Free Agency Period (3) commences (10pm)
- AFL Delisted Player Free Agency Period (3) closes (11pm)
It's unclear... but we do know the AFL said that clubs would be able to move players from the senior list to the rookie list, between the ND & RD. This appears to be the mechanism for making that happen, noting that we've already delisted Seeds & Moose, thereby making them DFAs.Yeah that's for delisted free agency aka. main list free agents like all the other DFA periods
I thought they only offered that for one year in 2020 but I might be wrong and it could be ongoing. It's unclear... but we do know the AFL said that clubs would be able to move players from the senior list to the rookie list, between the ND & RD. Seedsman and/or McAsey.List update post draft: we have no spots

The only way we will gain access to an SSP selection or a mid-season draft pick during the 2023 season is if we move Seedsman to the inactive list
No Turner.
We'll probably do something to look after him.No surprise. The decisions yesterday, to draft Bond & Dowling, meant that there was no longer a position available for him on our team list.
I don't see the need, really. It's not as if we uprooted him, and moved him interstate. He will just return to his SANFL team, and that will be the end of his brief AFL career. We'll probably do something to look after him.
Surely we get a McAsey/Seed announcement soon in that case, considering Turner is still training with usNo surprise. The decisions yesterday, to draft Bond & Dowling, meant that there was no longer a position available for him on our team list.
Agreed no surprises there but I feel for Turner personally as we took him in the rookie draft, I feel given the opportunity he was for this level imho.
You can probably add Newchurch & Borlase to that list as well. Strachan an outside chance of being delisted, if he still can't find his way past ROB.Can pretty much already name most of our delistings for 2023:
McAsey
Crouch
McPherson
Seedsman
Hately
Sloane and Tex a chance to retire (depending on form/injury)
Doedee a chance to leave via FA, while the likes of Taylor, Nankervis, Worrell and Schoenberg are OoC.
They were selected in the RD.Surely we get a McAsey/Seed announcement soon in that case, considering Turner is still training with us
I mean in regards to beginning the process of finding an SSP replacement for themThey were selected in the RD.
5. Andrew McPherson (Adelaide, re-listed)
21. Adelaide – Paul Seedsman (Adelaide, re-listed)
I forgot about the cat B guys. You can probably add Newchurch & Borlase to that list as well. Strachan an outside chance of being delisted, if he still can't find his way past ROB.
There's no hurry on that. The RD has only just finished 20 minutes ago.I mean in regards to beginning the process of finding an SSP replacement for them
And I said McAsey, not McPherson haha
