I agree with the sentiment, but then Jye Amiss and Matthew Taberner would be our lone forward focal points, with Joshua Treacy as depth. Yikes!! :eekv1:

Here is some news for you guys.

My dad met some of sharps family at a work event tonight and he is home sick and is desperate to get back to WA.

Didn’t get the details ok whether he wants Freo or West Coast as he didn’t want to push it.

So it’s a chance

I did hear a rumour that Sharp despises Freo. It's probably BS but.

I have no problem with the club making it difficult for a required and contracted player to leave.

Trade week hasn't even begun yet. There could be other pieces that come into play. We may not have a replacement confirmed. Bombshell requests such as Weller and Neale happen quite late in trade week.

Worst thing to do is to agree early in discussions, especially with an aberrant manager like Young.

Mason Wood remains without a contract. If we don’t land Sharp, would make a decent Acres replacement.

Stress on the relationship?

Should've thought about that before moving to the other side of the country while your boyfriend still had two years left on his contract.
Jesus Christ dude, you have no idea as to the inner workings of a couple's relationship, nor do you have any justification for your hatred towards Lobb. You're making giant leaps and generalisations and simply making a fool of yourself. If one is only to view the situation from a "hot-collared" supporter's perspective, then Lobb will appear the devil incarnate. Stop, breathe and consider the fact that he abided by the club's wishes to remain for the 2022 season, in addition to upholding his end of the bargain in playing to the best of his ability. I believe the agreement entailed his wish of a trade east being facilitated after such duties had been carried out. Some people need to stop with the irrational slurs along the lines of, "Such and such is such a campaigner. How dare he do x, y and z. He's dead to me. F*ck him off and blah, blah, blah!"

Now Meek? Been saying it since the whispers began with Jackson, the trade has all the hallmarks of a classic dockers trading disaster.

It has the potential. I'm very curious to see how trade week goes. We must have a plan to compensate for what we are losing. If we only land Jackson and Sharp then our team gets younger again but will actually be not as good as this years team.

I'm not sure about that. Most of our players in the 19 - 22yo category and or 0 - 30 games will improve.

Lobb’s situation to me is like locking your internet rate in for 4 years.

The variable then drops and you want to get out of it for a better deal.

The fact he stuck around and had his best season last year has no bearing on whether he has the right to leave this year.

Unless both parties agree to terminate the contract, lobb needs to honour it.

Otherwise, don’t sign a multi-year contract.

Also, I don’t think we would be as firm on our stance if his contract was back-ended, and I bet my left nut he wouldn’t be seeking a trade if he was in a 700k year.

Farm them all out (Logue, Lobb, Meek, Tucker, Acres, maybe Henry) - get Jackson, Sharp and Buddy and 3 new additions... I would say our ins are far better than our outs.... top 4 next year

No he wouldn’t. He’s genuinely one of the worst players over 25 in the AFL.

I hope we’ve contacted Franklin’s management. He’s desperate for another flag, might well see us as closer than Brisbane after last night. Get Buddy in for 2 years and have Amiss and Treacy learn from a genuine forward superstar.

I mean he could conceivably have another flag in a week, and even if he doesn't, if a flag is his motivation he's better off staying at Sydney, their prospects for a flag are better than ours.
I think Bud wants the cash he thinks he's worth

That's true. I can't see us hiding Lobb this year so I think it'll depend if we do or if we can find a replacement.

Agree, he'll leave a massive hole but I think Jackson will fill it adequately if we can get him.

Also a big call but I'm excited by what Benning will or could become given time and sitting behind Jackson, Treacy, Cox, Pearce, he'll have the time to properly build his game.

I think you underestimate just how little I care about lobbs personal life
