Just checked JHF’s socials, he follows Freo, all the freo fan/meme accounts and all our players. This guy is a true Freo die hard and nerd.

From the NMFC board
"We’ve heard he was in tears after a game, that he’s had a bust up with a couple senior players, a talking to from the leadership group, and then all the Noble stuff comes out."

This is probably a move to up his contract value but he is probably leaving the door open for other options as well.

JHF following freo accounts can be this teams "Jesse Hogan wearing a freo scarf"

He’s not leaving North

Unless someone forces it, he is apparently very happy
I thought he would be a good addition last year, and then I heard him do an interview on the radio and thought that there's no way he's leaving North. Of course North have somehow gotten worse since then so maybe there's a chance.

I'll indulge the talk re JHF even though I doubt it'd happen...

If he were to come end of 2023, who would he displace in our midfield? Some posters have already expressed concerns re us potentially targeting Gus for this reason... would JHF result in limiting the opportunities of our young developing midfield (Ras and Johnson)?. Don't get me wrong, I'd love him at Freo.... would he be dynamic enough to play HF with stints in the midfield?

Secondly what would we have to give up? Roos would seek someone like Serong or Young I'd think...

Clement left because of the way Drum went about giving him a spray. He singled Clement out in front of the playing group and unjustly tore shreds off him in a humiliating manner. The sort of thing which made Clement (whose character/mindset could not be questioned based on how his career unfolded) just go "nah, not playing for you anymore". Called Malthouse who had told him he wanted him when coaching WC, and the rest is history.

I get that players seem a bit like sooks now and want to run the show. Look at how the cricket team turfed Langer. But there must be something more to this Noble spray. I don't know if it was directed at JHF, but I think Noble must have crossed the line while targeting individuals. And doesn't have to be the player getting the spray who is the one that is most offended.

Can I just take this moment to thank Jason Webber, by hiding all these talented players, keeping them perpetualy injured, allowing us to go deep in the draft time and time again.
Even allowing bell rosich to throw away yellow chips on the table with rabble like Jesse Hogan like it didn't even matter.

I take my hat off to you sir.

Jlo is capable of giving a spray. But he's a smart man and knows his boys.

You can't feed honey to everyone. I respond to a bake but I know people who take it too personal and go into their shells. Those ones you feed honey to get the best out of them.

I remember reading or listening to a player interview some time last year. Can't remember who or when but basically the gist was that JL kinda knows how each player responds to different types of ways of giving feedback/criticism and he knows which way to get the best out of each player. Some respond to sprays well and it's what they need, some are more sensitive so giving them a spray will have no positive effect on them. Also very good at reading the room to know how to approach giving the feedback after a game.

This isn't the interview I was referring too but this article here also gives a little bit of insight into it.

Lobb, tucker and a future first?
Get a second and third back.

Angus for free, but enough that Melbourne get band 1 compo, then Jackson for a first, future second and third.

🤣🤣
I know everyone is joking, but only way we could get JHF would be to trade them Fyfe plus our first rounder & maybe even someone else too.

Only way Fyfe would go if he’s won the flag already and decides he’d rather get twice the coin at North & show them how to train and prepare as being in Melbourne suits his Mrs.

That’s my understanding, but you never know what can happen in this world
