Said before but I don’t think he will fit in with the culture at Freo. Smoking dart after dart out in public with rowdy mullet mates isn’t a good look.
If he performs on field it wouldn't be an issue, like sonny and Luke ryan among others at the club already

I was very sad to read the west Australian article and interview with Nic Nat.which felt like Luke jackson going to west coast 100%
But after hearing Damien Barret in podcast bit relived and he says Dockers are way way way ahead of west coast in luring Jackson and said he can see Jackson playing for Dockers in 2023.

Joel Western is tracking as our equivalent anyhow. Baker wasn't doing much for WP, moved to Subi and took a while to find his feet at WAFL level. If Western hadn't have had so many injuries, he'd be a total like for like at the same age I reckon.

Nic nat said nothing different to what I've heard darcy and mundy say abt Jackson on the radio in the past few weeks. The West just love their Eagles and are framing it in a way that paints them as a likely suitor for Jackson

Very excited about Western so I hope he can live up to the hype! Excellent around goals and through the midfield as well. Really hope Colyer takes him under his wing and teaches him the ropes.

Jackson to Eagles would just be funny. I'd love to have Luke at a reasonable price but if we miss him so be it. It would devastate West Coast to pay the currency cost for him at a time where they need draft picks like nothing else.

Pick 2 for jackson would accelerate there rebuild wouldn't it? Draft picks and young players are the same thing.

The article only said NN occasionally speaks to him. If he comes home it will be to us. Been hearing it for a long time now.

Clayton Oliver just signed an extension with Melbourne until 2030. Does that mean that Luke Jackson and/or Angus Brayshaw have made a decision which has allowed Melbourne to pull the trigger on some salary cap decisions?

We’re gonna get both of them and make Melbourne pay for it

I think that's exactly what has happened.

I would have thought they made such a long contract to save money long term or shift some payments for later years. 8 years is pretty risky no matter how good the player is.
