We would have put money aside for Cerra that we didn't need. Lobb wants out. That frees up the money for Jackson.

We lost the 2013 GF because Zach Clarke was crap and Hawthorn were able to double team Pav. Many beleive if Kepler or even Jonathon Griffin were available we would have won.

If you get the chance to recruit a 199cm match winner you take it IMO.

Melbourne won't make the Jackson trade easy for us they will come out asking for Serong or maybe with their recent Forward line issues they'll ask for Amiss.

Understandably if they are giving up a young gun player they'll want one in return. Unless they want to clear salary cap space and will accept high end picks for drafted players which will be cheaper and good for them long term.

Amiss isn't going to solve their forward line issues while they still have a shot at a premiership. They should be trying to get Lobb if they are realistic about their window, which will be shut in a few years. That may actually improve their premiership odds compared with having Jackson, who is still a very long way from being a KPF threat.

Do we still want Brashaw? Acres and Brashaw would be a formidable duo but that would force out Noddy and Henry. Even fitting in Aish would be tough.

What's your order in priority for signing the existing out of contract players:
Sturt, Logue, Acres, Aish, Crowden, Wilson, Mundy, Blakely, Pearce, Colyer, Western, Banfield, Kuek

My order:
Pearce ✅ , Logue, Aish, Acres, Western, Colyer, Mundy, Sturt, Banfield, Kuek, Wilson, Crowden, Blakely

If I'm West Coast's list manager I'm trying to pinch Acres, Western and Wilson.

Alex Pearce was the one other clubs could get for moderate cash and free as a Free Agent. Glad this one is done. Now onto Logue.

Is this Jackson?
I know Jackson looks like being something special, two things concern me with him. 1. He is more a ruckman than a forward at this stage anyway and secondly the money needed to get him is huge. In that regard I guess I am a little gun shy after Hogan, McCarthy etc. We have a good back up ruckman already in Meek and our big weakness is still in attack. I'm sure the club will make the right decisions as they have of late and I guess there is a lot to play out behind the scenes with Lobb as well. Wait and see.
