Exit meeting tomorrow, but "his managers in town next week"

So we won't know until next week, because Jackson won't tell Melbourne, his manager will

You know this is something that doesn’t have to be done in person right?

We had to move Hogan like Collingwood had to move DeGoey, and before that Richmond had to move Dusty. I mean Buddy has been mentioned in this thread recently, he was putting so much up his nose he was having seizures and Sydney had to move him too.
I know I'm in the minority but I will never be convinced we had to move Hogan. We chose to move him because it was all too hard, and so Bell could stroll around saying. "see, I told you we should never have got him in the first place, in the future always listen to me".
Oh well, he's gone and one day in my lifetime, by the law of averages if nothing else, our club will actually trade out an early first round draft pick and bring in a star forward that doesn't bite us on the arse one way or another.

This has been his only decent season since his Melbourne days. Played 7&8 games the last 2 season, Plus he was on massive bucks. The west media would not leave him alone. To move him on was for the best. Still stings tho, and we’re about to do it again, trade our most talented forward for pennies….

Looking through that list of players... we're never gonna be done with Colin Young are we? Christ.
When I saw Chapman, Henry and Johnson I went oh Crap.

At least some of the players are at the end of their careers like Colyer, Walters, Hamling and Wilson.

Western will mostly be delisted.

Acres, Logue and Lobb all trade out will help.

Banfield doesn’t worry me.

Maybe, in three years it’s only Johnson, Chapman and Henry.

He was living with Schultz I think, so presumably him (though he wasn't a teenager)
Yeah maybe. But figured it'd be more of the 'young and impressionable' who came straight from mum and dads house rather than 22/23 year old who had an established career before football.

Actually agree with the Hogan comments. If Fremantle had Dustin Martin, he’d be traded years ago. That’s the type of club and state we live in.
DeGooey. He would have been left in USA and given no chances. Look at him now. Such a naughty boy.

Yeah nah I'd much rather we didn't have a sex offender on our team.

I’ll accept we had to move Hogan. But it still stings it was for a pick in the 50s.
Now we’re apparently going to be trading our under-contract leading goal kicker for a late second round pick…
Only freo 🙄
almost best for freo not to get a first for lobb it would go straight to melb anyway

Suggested trade *1 2022.
If Liam Henry “did” want out I’d be looking at GC, can pitch him as some kind of Rankine replacement, he can go work on his insta profile on the GC and we could get their earliest second rounder and maybe work something else in for Sharp.

Don't be silly, we'd get at least pick 7 and their future first and they'd be happy about it.

I can’t believe I’m doing this but it’s bugging me no one has said this.
Buddy has been quoted at different times as saying one of the big attractions for living in Sydney is it’s a really big place with not that many people interested in AFL so he’s reasonably anonymous relative to his standing in the game. Apparently he loves to go wash his car & have a coffee & wander around Bondi which he can do mostly unnoticed.
Can you imagine him trying to go out for a quiet coffee in Perth/Fremantle?
Apart from the very many reasons it makes no sense whatsoever to recruit him he simply wouldn’t move to Perth.
The only other place he’d consider would be Brisbane/GC. For the same reasons.

Hogan couldn't handle the pressure in WA and he didn't gel with the playing group. Had to go.

Justin Longmuir’s manager really doesn’t want him to win a Premiership.

Wasn't the talk about hogan partly related to the influence he was having on some of the younger players rather than just himself?

Was there ever any truth to that? Which younger players if any where they worried about?

Gerard Whately suggested that Hogan's lack of professionalism was a big part in Lachie Neale leaving.

I don't know Jackson, but surely you go in to that meeting and be honest? If someone sat in front of me and said they're undecided then left their manager to break up with me I'd be offended.

The key is winning.

Ben Cousins went from a crucial piece of the pie to a liability when they started winning less games.

If we were top 4 when Hogan was having off field issues we'd back him in. But when you're bottom six......

Same applies to Dusty and DeGoey. If Pies miss the 8 in 2022 DeGoey is out. But he's been close to BOG both weeks.
