Suggested trade *1 2022.
If Liam Henry “did” want out I’d be looking at GC, can pitch him as some kind of Rankine replacement, he can go work on his insta profile on the GC and we could get their earliest second rounder and maybe work something else in for Sharp.
Obviously your planning to hide all the tapes of Henry playing at Peel? Because if you show them the jig is up.

Wait for confirmation but looks like Gary Lyon was right. My guess is either we got cold feet, or (more likely IMO) we lowballed the Dees and they convinced Luke to consider the Eagles.

Not expecting this to get a lot of likes. FTR, I don't think think this is good news because now we definitely won't get him on the cheap so naturally I am praying the Eagles will give up pick 2 (or split it).

Could also just be talk to ensure freo don't **** around at the trade table

I hope it’s either token interest and we get him at a fair price, or we walk away and make it a Tim Kelly 2.0. I don’t understand how it is in Melbourne‘a interest to involve the club that has pick 2 in the PSD, though.

You can find lots of articles written out of Geelong and Melbourne from the first week of October about Tim Kelly requesting a trade back to WA.

That request was strictly to the West Coast Eagles and everyone knew it, but it makes a better article to pitch WC against Freo

That's exactly what I said (in different words).

Either way, it is unusual to see a player nominate a state, that almost never happens.

Adam Cerra "officially" requested to be traded back to Melbourne. Freo began dealing with Melbourne FC and said Jackson would be part of it - Melbourne walked away, Carlton were comfortable putting pick #6 on the table and he nominated Carlton.

So what happens when all these players leave our team bc of luke jackson and then he decides to go to wce?

He’s in the Nathan Wilson basket although he’s not stupid enough to say it publicly like Wilson was. It won’t happen.

Also is Jeremy Sharp managed by Colin Young?

His name seems to keep popping up the last few days. Out of contract apparently so probably cheap.

I’m not overly concerned by recruiting Colin Young players tbh. He’s a ****head but manages a lot of WA players so we’ve got to work with him unfortunately. Just curious if he may be the one driving this rumour to get his client a better contract back home.

What do you see as the downside if he did say it publicly like Wilson?

This is what we are talking about:

Hackdorn thinks we are into Ollie Henry and Jeremy Sharp

From all reports Ollie Henry is looking for two things: playing in Geelong and getting paid lots of money. Given we can’t offer the former, I expect he would only entertain an offer from us if there was plenty of the latter. Not worth it.

I think the only player we may lose because of Jackson is Meek. If Jackson comes in he may feel he has more opportunity elsewhere. But he is contracted so why trade at all unless it is in our interests.

The other guys being discussed are all because of their own circumstances. If Jackson never comes we still shouldn't overpay for guys like Acres or Logue.
