Melbourne don’t want lobbLobb & Pick #13 for Jackson, straight up. Done.
There still may be some kind of scenario such as upgrading F2 to F1 in exchange for Lobb. Especially for a club expecting to play finals such as Bulldogs.Yep & freo arent getting one for lobb
They probably will ask… it will get shut downDamian Barret and Josh Gabelich on the AFL daily podcast...fair dinkum... they reckon Melbourne need a key forward and should be asking Freo for Matthew Taberner or, get this.... Jye Amiss.

How I imagine the reaction if they asked for Amiss:They probably will ask… it will get shut down
Still think Melbourne's apparent lack of interest in Lobb is more so that they don't show their hand too early.
Although if they do get Grundy, would be unlikely Lobb would be an option.
Lobb and 13 to C'Wood, Grundy to Dees, Jackson to Freo?
Lobb is 30 at the start of next year... don’t get me wrong think lobb would be a great fit but Melbourne don’t want himWait and see on that. Ben Brown needs to be replaced.

He is younger than May and Gawn. If they are realistic, they would accept they only have 1 or 2 more years to win a flag, and then it will be a decade in the wilderness. They aren't Geelong (who have still gone 10 years without a flag). Lobb provides them the absolute best chance of a flag out of the options available.Lobb is 30 at the start of next year... don’t get me wrong think lobb would be a great fit but Melbourne don’t want him

They also get some salary cap space, with the pies paying a significant portion of Grundy's salary. We’re the only winners there …
Melbourne will want WAY more than Grundy for Jackson.

This is almost exactly what we're trying to do, just in reverse. Its really odd.
Lobb is a way better fit for them then Jackson is. Their biggest weakness is literally a key forward and with losing Jackson they have a big hole for that second ruck position.
However it seems their solution is going to be trying to turn Gawn into the forward/ruck and using Grundy as a pure ruck.
Getting paid god knows how much but are barely any better than the worst of the worst BF posters.Damian Barret and Josh Gabelich on the AFL daily podcast...fair dinkum... they reckon Melbourne need a key forward and should be asking Freo for Matthew Taberner or, get this.... Jye Amiss.
