His average was dragged down by games where he came on late as the sub.

He's also just very soft.

Just think he will get game time and be able to show what he has. No Chesser, Cole, Sheed, Witherden, possibly Sheuy for RD1 so i think he will play

Yeah I've been thinking that, but I've also been thinking about how every year we all start a heap of cheap rookies and for the most part, it works out. There's very few rooks who rot on our bench all season long, maybe 1 or 2 every year. The others we just rookie correction trade them in round 3. This year we can do 3 rookie correction trades if required, so I reckon it's better.

Jordan Boyd could be a possibility. Nathan O'Driscoll probably won't be in early but could be worth starting as a loophole as I'm sure he'll play fairly soon.

Unless there's some training injuries over the next week, he's literally our only other option for a cheap def rook. And I reckon the coaches are going to give Madgen first crack at it. There's a chance he plays, but I'm not confident.
