For me, changes id make:

Outs: Weitering, Motlop, Carrol, Dow
Ins: Mirkov, Kemp, Kennedy, Martin

Mirkov to 60/40 in ruck with TDK, no need to use Cripps or JSOS in the ruck, better structure - TDK to spend time fwd when not rucking/benched (or maybe even drop in the whole CHB to help out)
Kemp to play as a backman
Others self explanatory

Should still win this. Takes us to 9-3. I personally believe we have 4 easy wins after that (eagles, giants, adelaide and pies) yes the pies, we nearly beat em without 3 of the 5 spine players. Means we have 13 wins, pretty much still a certainty to make finals.

I am frustrated with the injuries but we still have the best midfield in the comp and Charlie Curnow. McKay and Pittonett soon to return

We just gotta play Mirkov. Ready or not. Too many players playing positions they shouldn’t. Just messes up structure big time. Put Mirkov in and see how he goes. Can’t do worse than Sos or Cripps

Agreed it's time to let him have a crack * don't have a big bruiser type ruck man or we must get a mature bodied ruck in the draft either way we have to go back to JSOS fwd,Cripps pure midfielder and TDK forward chop out ruck for team structure it's a must so Charlie not one out vs 2-4 players like we saw time and time again yesterday.

This may not be as easy as some think. We should win but I think it will be quite close.

We are just missing so many key players and talls through injury.

And Essendon got Harrison Jones back last week, plus will likely get Stringer, Langford and Snelling back. That gives them a lot more marking targets to support Wright that they haven't had all year, just when Weitering goes down as well.

I not sure in two weeks if Marchy is right to go but I'd almost just put him in the team as we just asking for trouble to have Lewis Young by himself for taller players. But only if we have Kemp and Marchy together. That may squeeze Plowman out, not sure, Plowman one of leaders down back to help organise things so probably stays in too. Would rather leave Marchy in reserves for three or four weeks but not sure we have that luxury now so probably play him and manage his minutes which why Kemp needs to be there too. Ideally Kemp had more time to learn to play down back but once again, not have luxury. I think Newnes and Cottrell will have to make way to afford these and keep Plowman in.

Motlop and Carroll had a nice look at it so good for development but back to the two's for now and look forward to seeing them more in the future. Both will make it for sure. Martin and Kennedy to come in for them I'd assume. Cottrell or Setterfield to be the medical sub.

I did a rough calc on the remaining games.
.25 chance for a team above us i.e Bris/Melb
.5 chance for a team near us Tigs/Saints/Freo
1 for team well below

came out at 16-6, which based on last year will be 3-5 position on the ladder. the three games stretch Tig/Freo/Saints is the key to finishing in top four.. if we can go 2-1 or 3-0 it will set us up nicely.

Think it might be a little hard with the injuries but I’m still daring to dream. I just want us to be healthy by finals. Who knows we could do a bulldogs 2016

thought we looked tired on sunday - don't ask me what that looks like I just did - and then when 23 went off it was like an army hearing its general had been killed - a palpable sense at the ground as our energy lagged, seemed to take a lot of our fight and composure with him.......

Isn't Mirkov out for a few weeks with an ankle injury?

I think a few of the 50/50 games are the key. If we can win more than we lose then we can afford to rest / allow an extra week for some of the players that are banged up or injured.

This guy needs a rocket or someone to actually tell him to play as it's his last game because he could be one of our best players if he could string a few games together at his absolute best is exactly what we need forward of centre the hybrid tall who can kick goals from off the deck or mark it high in the air is a very hard match up if he reaches his potential just needs to lift.

I thought there was an inflated headery element to it as well
Defensive effort across the ground wasn't there
In summary, I think we will come out hard against Essendon. Can't see us losing

I thought that too but how does a team with a 9 day break look so tired against a team with a shorter break coming off a slog in Perth … this was the most disappointing aspect …

yep - these good folk suggesting he'd have made a difference yesterday seem to be overlooking his own spotty form since coming across.........

some clubs just perform better when right up against it - look at us going in against gws..........

I contemplated perhaps with the comments about the flu going round the team prior to the Sydney game perhaps still around, lingering and caused some havoc to the team. But also we always come out flat pre and post bye.

Not sure I would reward Motlop with another game after his efforts today, really needs to focus on sticking tackles. He looked to sneak off the contest and was a little weak.

Carroll had a shocker as well, just did not handle the pace of the game.

Marchbank would have to be a chance if his knee is ok.

Yeah, I thought it a bit odd to suggest him in when he did not even play on weekend.
He still too raw for now to expect to be at senior level.
I'd rather soldier on with Crippa, Jack and Kennedy helping ease TDK ruck workload than have Mirkov and TDK in same 22 and Mirkov be on bench for half the game. It may come to a point we have to play him at some point, but for now, I'd still try to allow him to learn more of his craft in the magoos before putting him up against the big boys. He is still very raw.

I'd love to know the stats of us going into and after the bye win loss ratio wise.
Just a feeling but I reckon it would be losses 70% of the time as I remember complaining about it years ago that we seem to lose around this time as it's a mentality of the team. hopefully with new coaching structure they can rectify this and we belt *

our record overall would be 70%+ losses over the last 5-8 years wouldnt it?
