Haven’t really been a big fan of crowing about opposition outs since the 1994 Qualifying Final against Geelong when they lost Bairstow, Couch and Hocking and we somehow lost the game.

We need to be switched on.
Remember it at Waverley like it was yesterday. Absolute garbage sitting on the wing with f***n handbaggers

Couldn't disagree more.

Pittonet is a decent second effort ruckman who does his fair share of blocks in the secondary coontest. Not his prime skillset, but he has a go.

In fact I would compare Pittonet to a long line of premiership rucks, many of whom were parachuted into a team in the window.

He is never going to dominate a high stakes game. But the vast majority of premiership rucks have been guys who could meet the relatively low bar of not getting their arse kicked on the day and having a few moments along the way.

One would hope that TDK can become an all round ruck weapon, but right now he is a kid who can be killed by the big dirty ruck who has no shame. Pittonet can deal with those types.

I’m a big Pitto fan, a lot better than what many give him credit for

I thought something similar to this today.
Should Dow smash the door down, is he THE point of difference starter in the middle, with Crippa, Kennedy and George?
Would Walsh and Cerra on our wings make us superior to any other mid group??

Food for thought, but that’s on Dow to demand it.

At this point that would be shoehorning Dow in.

Yeah you shot me down because he "runs a lot". OK...
Perhaps you either don't watch actual football games, or just read stat sheets.
He's not an effective player. This is further validated by the stance of the new regime. So I'm not the only one that thinks it
And yes, him laughing after a stinging loss where he had 5 goals kicked on him is completely unacceptable
OK you got me. I'm in a football forum because I don't watch football... 😂😂😂😂.

I'm not disputing his effectiveness. I've not gone that route at all. I called you out on saying his work ethic was bad. Which it isn't. That's the scope of it. Have your little tantrum with someone else. You said something dumb.

I love that we’re going with two rucks, we will run their first ruck who is a sub 10 gamer off of his feet and force them to use sub-optimal ruck options which further serves to benefit our already dominant midfield group that has been bolstered with the return of Cerra.

It also means that they have to rotate their talls through the middle more which makes their defence or attack weaker.

It’s a win/win
Hawthorn have the ability to play the ruck role defensively and already work harder off the counter than they do at grinding out the stoppages.

I am going to continue to respond with contempt as it shows my sheer expression to your posts.

The club is delivering something we have not seen since... well never when it comes to modern footy. They have been working on this for what, 7 months?

It's so far delivered in Spades!

Pitto scored Coaches votes 1st game and would be very close of doing likewise second game... but no, that's not good enough.

Go justify whatever you want in your head, pretty sure the masses are choosing to have faith in the club instead until the club (and said players) gives us a reason not
I'm fully aware my opinion has some nuance to it, and clearly deviates from the current thinking here, and perhaps at the club. What I'm not prepared to deal with is people singling me out with any interest in mounting a real counter argument.

You eventually did, I responded appropriately, and you're done. I guess that's your lesson here? Maybe don't sling insults each time apropos of nothing, as if I'm trying to call your toy set crappier than my own. We support the same team!

Have you opened the ticket details where it gives you your QR code to scan at the gate? Usually that have all the ticket details, gate entry number etc?
There no other normal info on there like gate number 6 or 7, or whether it level M, P, N or Q. That why found it confusing to try to work out if it mistake by ticket group or change in names of gates and sections around the ground.

Thought I would go watch us smash them then sit back by the bbq for the grand final 🤢

So nice looking at our team profile and seeing no 30+ yr olds and only 1 teenager.

Hawks have a lot of 23 and under and 6 players with 10 or less games.
Was stunned to see Jack Silvagni 8th most experienced player in our side, based on games played.
Seems like only yesterday seeing him and Harry McKay come on in a pre-season match and liking what I saw from both in first 10 minutes.

And Charlie being 25 with only 60 odd games :(

Still seems like an up and coming kid and I guess in a way, he is. But he's halfway through his career already.

OK, call me crazy and I don't want to jinx us.
But, barring any further serious injuries, I think we may go 11 straight victories.
Gold Coast at Metricon is a danger game. Then Port, Freo, North, Crows, GWS, Sydney (Marvel) another danger game.
No. 11 being over Collingwood.
My rationale? I think with our system and players, we will continue to grow and improve.
There is a deep hunger and resolve in this team, I have not seen for a long time.
I can feel the juggernaut. Can you feel it?

I feel the juggernaut BUT cannot see 11 straight right now. I expect to drop a few on the way.
I thought we likely to end up 4th to 6th for season and still think will be some inconsistency in patches and key defence depth will be a challenge to not lose a few here and there. But I am more hopeful now we can break into the top four than I were a month ago. With a few teams I thought likely top four lost a few already we can dream a little bigger if we knock off Dawks and Suns and get to 4 and 0. That kind of all I thinking about right now as a fan. Keep winning and give ourselves a chance to nail a good spot in top 8.

Hey ODN, it looks like you do these things in a spreadsheet, yeah?

If so, any chance you can add averages for the columns as well? Maybe just for the players named to play. I know it can be skewed by a couple of players at the extreme end, but still think it would be good to see.

TIA!
