Big men take time

I think he'd be a handy pickup for a team thin on KP depth. Especially if the team has a functioning backline. But I see the club thanking him for his service and helping him get to where he wants to go. A shame because we could do with someone like Walker in the VFL. Seems well liked by all.

I'm pumped, for 2023. I am feeling it, this time. I feel like we're starting to get the rebuild rolling, into fun times. Not necessarily SUPER successful times, but the fun pre-drinks period, before we hit the Cadillac bar. We're building a very strong spine, for years to come.

The Cadillac Bar, there's a blast from the past! $1 spirits on a Thursday night.... I remember (or more accurately don't remember!) a Thursday there after making a blood donation earlier in the day... did not end well!

I only see us taking 3 in this years draft.
If we dont fill out the squad with mature agers then he's the one I'd keep.

Part of the reason he wants to go is so he can play in the midfield. We can't offer him that. Ideally he'd be content with with a half back role but it'd be a hard sales pitch if another team is offering midfield time.

He is going to play in the Geelong or Brisbane midfield?

If Logue comes in we would most likely delist Walker so that he can get to where he wants to go. There is no way a team is handing over a pick inside the top 300 for an out of contract josh walker. He's 30 next year.

Would Freo be interested in J Walker as a straight swap for Tucker as back up since they're losing Logue.

This has to be the 12 worst older players on a list as a collective in football history bar Fitzroy, after everyone bailed.

Goldy is still solid
Cunners is great but has missed so much footy the last few years.

It has just been diabolical. We looked better when we stopped playing Walker, do you remember how many games went from we were almost competitive to just turned to shit from error after error... we have so many momentum killers on our list it is unreal. I get we can't piss everyone off at the same time but **** me we need some sort of standards.

That's nearly half of this list. Cunners and to a much lesser extent Corr have had getting on the park troubles the last two years. Lynch was a soft cap rort.

Ziebell spent most games this year cooked.

Goldy and McDonald did well, Greenwood was fine and will never be anything beyond that.

This is why we won two games.

Such a good post. That bracket of players is what has hurt us so badly. We have also delisted quite a few in the past few years in that bracket that were very ordinary players. Please move on Walker, he turns like a houseboat.

Begs the question as to why they’d delist him so early, could this be a sort of diamond in the rough for us to help our lacking small forward stocks and they just delisted him for list spotd or is he just not up to the standard?
