We will not be getting a pick with O'Meara. It'll be Meek and another pick, Hawks will probably be chasing North's second or our Lobb pick. I wonder how this changes our going after Sharp

Can someone explain the O'Meara interest for me?

He'd be just about the last type of player I thought we'd be interested in...what am I missing?

we're concerned about who'll be the model for the team store now that griff and (maybe) lobb are gone

O'Meara is 28. We have enough young mids I agree, but not enough old ones

We don't have enough big physical bodies for when the heat is really getting turned up. We got exposed with a young and shallow midfield against Collingwood.

What a farking joke the suns are. The AFL should never give them any extra assistance again. Imagine winning the flag AND getting a quality young player on top of pick 7 for the massive price of a future 3rd rounder! Cats will extend Bowes almost immediately you'd think to stretch that contract a bit. AFL are a joke.

O'Meara. Still trying to get my head around this play.
Definitely walks into best 22, so there's that. Provides midfield rotational depth, so there's that. Is it a salary cap dump type play and we can grab Hawks F2 and they can have Meek? Hawks have bunch of young players, so can't see it being a salary dump style play.
Seems Freo exploring due to Meek.

Don't see it happening myself, but I wouldn't say no to O'Meara.

If we somehow pick the pocket of Hawthorn, and get their F2, I don't want to be trading that for Sharp.

Two early second rounders, when we don't have our first is important.

Sharp can wait until next year.
why? odds are sharp is and will be a better player than whoever we can pick up
