VFL 2022 VFL list management & general discussion

We dont actually know who our complete list is, hasnt been confirmed.

This is going to sound harsh, but if they were AFL quality they would be on AFL lists.

My thoughts:
Hartley and Eggnolesse-Smith would be our best replacements.
Tardrew could be okay and would play whatever role you give him, but wouldn't expect more than a poor man's Josh Smith or John Noble.
Booth, Fowler, and Husthwaite and others are not gonna do much more than make up the numbers.
Jetta is past it unfortunately.

Unfortunately the gap between AFL listed and VFL listed players is just far too high I reckon.

How many drafts did mihochek get overlooked?

I think they're saying Victorian teams will likely be able to have a list of 20 VFL players on standby. Across the 10 Vic teams that is 200 spots, which is a lot to fil. I'm not trying to sound mean, or say that those 200 VFL players aren't some of the best footballers in the country. Its just a sad reality that the quality between best 22 AFL players and most VFL listed players is significant.

Of those 200, I reckon 40 at most would be able to fill in and actively help keep an AFL team competitive. Its good that the season will be able to continue every week, but any team relying on their VFL standby list for more than a few players will be winning games.

I didn't realize we had 20 vfl listed players. I guess the lists have increased to pre covid levels. Be interesting to see who else is on our list. Hopefully we see the full list at some point soon.
