Think was talked up before injury, I’d say would have still got to 40, but definitely worth a puntWas he touted to go very high last year?
Why do all these reporters think our 1st pick is 44, the whole write up is completely wrong if you ignore pick 30.
Talls will not contribute next year. Sure take some but I think the pick 30 needs to be able to play if needed. If harry lemmey get to 30 freo should get him, then hopefully jed adams gets to 44, broadbent is a good late option too, I know they are all talls but think our midfield is stacked
Hope so. Love a fee hitBeen injured most of the year, might help freo get him to 40
Scaife didn't do any of the physical tests (Bevan, not NGA, didn't test either) - 9 of 12 tested at the State combine. Draper did but don't know his results yet. Connor Williams was top 3 for 20m sprint (2.986s).How did our NGA boys test anyone know?
What position do we need someone to be able to play next year? Freo are short on talls.Talls will not contribute next year. Sure take some but I think the pick 30 needs to be able to play if needed.
Why would freo take Frederick? We have too many the same kind of playerKelm, Frederick MkIi, tippi better options than going small in draft? Kpd/ruck depth better options unless super slider pops up?

I agree bout the ruckman but more chances they’ll be a late pick or a rookie pick,We probably need a KPD and a ruck that can play next year if required. They’d be real depth options but we don’t have enough KPDs or rucks on the list.
For a KPD would be to get one of the best mature aged KPDs in the country. Ideally they’d be 20-23 and still have some development left. I’d be happy enough to use pick 30 or 44 if it gets us that player.
For a ruck, Jackson and Darcy will be here for ages so we’re looking for a last resort type and probably have the luxury of not really needing to give a **** about age. The best state league ruck available at pick 76 (maybe pick 67) would do the job. Not really interested in using a pick before pick 67 but some may disagree.
We have enough options for KPFs in terms of quantity. It’s quality that’s a concern there. If the quality isn’t there I’m more than happy to draft something else.
Looking at our smalls Walters and Colyer are both 32 next year. That’s probably around a quarter of the small/medium forwards on our list. Maybe it’s not as bad if AMT joins but I’d still say we need to add talent in this area. Small/medium forwards is where I see us using pick 30 or pick 44 tbh.
As long as we get a KPD, ruck and small forward I’m happy. I could justify us drafting a player in any other position on the ground if I wanted to - no part of our list is in such great shape we can’t improve it.
Agree with everything you’ve said above but still feel we need more midfield depth, particularly in the wing, we’ve lost Mundy, Acres, Tucker, Crowden and Blakely and only brought in JOM and perhaps some minutes from Jackson when he’s not in the ruck or forward line.We probably need a KPD and a ruck that can play next year if required. I think pick 30 needs to be best available, would be ecstatic if Ed Allan was still there.
With 44 (40 ish on the night) it will come down to who’s slid Lemmy could still be there or Phillips is my guess.
67 which could move up as high as 50’s with F/S bids and teams starting to pass, would think a mature ruck.
76 I think we’ll use to match a bid for scaife or Draper, if none come it really depends on what’s happening with Kelm, if he’s coming we likely pick one of them anyway as we’ll only have 1 cat B rookie spot available.
We can’t just take a bunch of tall forward and nothing else. Where would they all even play each week?If harry lemmey get to 30 freo should get him, then hopefully jed adams gets to 44, broadbent is a good late option too, I know they are all talls but think our midfield is stacked

We have Tabs, jackson and Amiss in the ones next year.
Then at peel we could have Treacy and Kuek playing as KPF, and what then? Lemmey and Scaife and Draper all playing WAFL reserves? Not going to happen.
We are after quality not quantity.
Kelm and Frederick are both defenders aren't they? Wilson probably plays ahead of either of them, and they would all be cover for Clark, Walker or Chapman. We have a credible chance of building a list with genuine speed to burn. Adding more speed (Kelm, tippa when fit, fredericks mk2 - backline unlike his brother) and similar draft picks provides us with a real advantage. Do you think this is where the list build might be heading?
Frederick is a half-forward but for some reason PTA played him as a half-back... As if PTA didn't have enough of them..Kelm and Frederick are both defenders aren't they? Wilson probably plays ahead of either of them, and they would all be cover for Clark, Walker or Chapman.
We may be slightly faster if they came in I guess.
If Kelm comes in he’s gets an automatic 2 year deal. All the Irish boys that have come on on Cat B lists have previously.Kelm and Frederick are both defenders aren't they? Wilson probably plays ahead of either of them, and they would all be cover for Clark, Walker or Chapman.
