So here's the players who played more than 20 games according to the coaches

Dawson - 23 games - winner
Keays - 23 games - equal 8th
O'Brien - 23 games - not top 10, horrendous year
Laird - 22 games - 2nd
Smith - 22 games - 7th
Milera - 22 games - 10th
Hinge - 22 games - equal 4th
Sloane - 22 games - not top 10, shit year
Murphy - 22 games - 6th
Walker - 22 games - 3rd
Michalanney - 22 games - not top 10 despite same games as Murphy, terrible
Soligo - 21 games - not top 10, coaches don't rate him
Rachele - 21 games - not top 10, SANFL for you
Pedlar - 21 games - not top 10, get in the bin
Fogarty - 21 games - not top 10, pathetic
Thilthorpe - 21 games, not top 10, waste of space
Rankine - 20 games, equal 4th
(Jones - 18 games - equal 8th)

Ah they did

The top 10 vote getters per game.

5.7 Dawson (23)
5.2 Laird (22)
4.6 Rankine (20)
4.6 Hinge (20)
4.5 Walker (22)
4.4 Jones (18)
4.1 Murphy (22)
4.0 Smith (22)
3.6 Milera (22)
3.5 Keays (23)

I gather the likes of Crouch & Worrell would have been top 10 based on average votes per game.

Moreso not getting what the gist of your post is, bagging Sloane/ROB + a bunch of our young guys in the same post
Well ROB didn't manage top 10 despite playing every game while the other players couldn't beat Murphy for a top 10 spot despite playing similar games. So it's clear the coaches thought they were not very good.

The stuff about young players was mostly joking but it is disappointing the coaches didn't rate a single one of them

When a s**t role player finishes 6th in the B&F our list is ****ed
Don't coaches vote based on playing roles rather than BOG etc? If so and Murphy playing the entire season pretty much indicates they believe he played the role they wanted him to.

Don't agree with the results but can see how it happens with that method.

So the expectations on Murphy was so low he got points for not being so shit is the only way I can see it lol

In some ways, I'd say so.

Murphy's role is to just be a maniac that attacks/adds pressure. So as long as he's out there putting in the effort to chase, I dare say he gets the pass mark.

I'd love to know what Michalanney's role was and how he failed to do it to a better standard than Murphy with his role

That's two years in a row that ROB doesn't make the top ten.

Makes it even more confusing that we don't bother trying to find an upgrade or long term replacement.
