Just love the Collingwood fans sooking about not getting a ticket to the Corporate Shindig aka the AFL Grand Final. Its a shambles that 40,000 tickets are only available to club members for both clubs combined. The remaining goes to free loaders who probably rarely go to an AFL match during the year.
The situation is in a big part due to the way Eddie rinsed the government for money for Collingwood, so those ****ers can complain least of anyone!

This is kinda bullshit. In reality, Collingwood (and other MCG tennant clubs in particular) have large MCC memberships which are counted as members. This list is a few years old, but you'd think it would be close to the same:
Numbers breakdown are as below;

Melbourne 22,932
Essendon 17,792
Collingwood 15,947
Carlton 12,784
Richmond 11,729
Hawthorn 11,070
Geelong 10,939
St.Kilda 7,248
North Melbourne 4,217
Western Bulldogs 3,294
Sydney 3,163
Brisbane 3,163
Other teams 1,845
No team listed 6,853

I couldn't find the numbers for AFL Membership but considering that Collingwood play out of the MCG you'd have to say they'd have large numbers of AFL members too. Between the MCC and AFL Memberships, they are allocated up to 45,000 tickets. WHo has access to these? that's right Collingwood members first and foremost. According to an article I read, only 15,000 tickets are "Corporate"...... And who do you reckon, given that the game is held in their city with access and knowledge of those tickets and where to procure them is easiest? That's right those that live in teh town the game is played in.

The idea that the MCG is even close to a neutral ground when a Vic Club is playing a non Vic Club is the biggest myth peddaled. Collingwood's support on Saturday will be upward of 70%.
