One thing is for sure, if I was forced to choose between the perennial favourites of Dusty, De Goey, and TDK, for the same money, I'll have TDK thanks.

Would take TDK comfortably last. Has not done much, everything with him is a Hail Mary

We were VERY interested in DGB in his draft year (but Logan fell into our lap).

He’s contracted to 2024, but Hawthorn has parked him in the VFL.

A promising young key defender that we liked and has mates at the club….

And there’s no rumours doing the rounds ….

Must mean he’s coming.

Would be the sort of one that MIGHT be attainable. They did draft Weddle last year too plus they have Will Day.

We just trade them back their own draft picks in return for DGB.

This trade business is easy. I’m sure Dalrymple or Beatson will call me soon.

A future second for the lols

They can deathride

Maybe I don't watch enough Carlton games, but I completely missed the part that Tom De Koning became a superstar ... or future superstar.

Is it possible Kane Cornes and others in the media are confusing him with his brother? He isn't even that young.

you aren't the only one. The ultimate in betweener. Has shown nothing in the ruck everything is around the ground so again you are paying a stack for a tall runner around the ground. Let another club do it.

He played well against us for a half last year in the ruck. But the money and contract being spoken about is ridiculous.

It's like someone talking about $800k+ for Ladhams - they are about the same age. Not to mention Carlton will want something really good in a trade.

I wouldn't be going anywhere near it if the media speculation about the future contract is close to the truth.

Look he can have a good game here and there but geez north of 850k? He's not top 5 ruck in the league area!

If we have salary cap space to be offering someone 800k, I would be targeting Ben McKay.

well Bud comes off but you'd think our young kids are demanding pay rises. We will have to keep Stephens among others. McKay is the obvious one maybe Himmelberg as that swingman is more attainable price reasons

More TDK talk from Fox Footy;

Still talking about 8 years x $800k from Sydney.
Carlton supposedly offering 2 years x $600k.

Jon Ralph refers to him as a $450kpa player on what he produced to date and Dunstall & King less than enthusiastic about the $800k talk.

I still find it hard to believe that the figures thrown about re Sydney are accurate.
If they are, we are crazy IMO.

That is absolutely stupid money and length.

Hopefully no where near him for that.

Need to get on the phone to Collingwood and ask if they recommend a long-term contract on very high money for a ruckman.
I'd still rather target Himmelberg, whether he's open to that or not I don't know. Suspect the SA teams will be in his ear, Adelaide will lose Walker this year and Himmelberg will help plug the gap. They defs have the cap space to offer him $$
