Imo Grundy will have a chip on his shoulder after being looked down upon from both pies & dees. Fire up Big Bad Brodie Grundy ;).

We pounced at the right time. No point wasting resources for the heck of it. We were patient, waited & then pounced this off-season. Brilliant.

Grundy more likely than McKay I think.

McKay has lots of options. Many clubs are desperate for a key defender.

Grundy really only has 2 options, us or Port. Melbourne about a 1% chance of holding him if he wants to go.
I am very confident that Grundy will be coming to Sydney and the only thing holding up the announcement is that Melbourne are still involved in finals.
As to McKay, the the media reports that I've heard suggest that Sydney have offered more than both Hawthorn and Essendon but he has to weigh that up against the advantage of staying in Melbourne against not having success and regularly playing in finals.

Trade for James Harmes between the Tigers and Sydney according to McClure this morning on SEN

Respect to Dylan Stephens

Sounds like he's stubborn about being a Blood

Looks like we are the only ones left in the Grundy negotiations. All AFL news sites are saying Port are now out. This is due to them already trading for Rad & Zirk. They didn't have much of a hand to start with, traded their future picks for the last 3 years. They were also only interested in talking footy but Grundy was more interested in work/life balance. That has been a theme of the Swans for a long time and apparently he is more interested in that.

Soon, we will be saying 'Welcome Brody Grundy' if all things go well.

I am not wrapped in McKay. I do not believe we are much of a chance anyway. He seems to be more interested in Hawks or Bombers. I think we should move on and draft a KPD. Use Lewie, Arnold, Edwards etc.

Stephens leaves, and he is gone, we need more run. Outside mids should be a priority. More speed. Cleary comes in as an inside mid. That's solved. But at the draft we need to look at KPD, outside run (speedy players who use the ball well).

We have the capacity to draft well and will get a pick for Stephens, late 20's, early 30's.
