Um, and this has been said before, no-one here is pissing on the club, but specifically Koch and Hinkley, because we want to win premierships.Yea there’s a new addiction in town find more ways to attack the club . Must be exhausting.
Id be happy to have a new coach too but for a quite possible reason that I’m not privy to the coach hasn’t changed
We have a poncey chairman .O.K. Not ideal but he’s been successful in his own way , maybe not ruthless enough , sure I’d rather someone else but that stuff doesn’t turn me off the footy gawd no , it’s one of my main forms of entertainment, gives me feel good chemicals when we win , sure get down when we lose but I don’t blame anyone, it’s my own stupid fault if I get down about my team losing , it’s a game , I should be better than that .
The old school stuff that runs through our veins just hasn’t quite translated on a national level Yet . We’ve got the aura in Adelaide but not really nationally , young players coming in unless they were from a Port family wouldn’t have that bulletproof feeling when they put the guernsey on like the old days .
We just have to keep striving , keep pursuing excellence and develop that thing a young player would feel walking into Collingwood or Geelong , once we achieve that I reckon the players will be forced to become mentally stronger .
Im frustrated too but not enough to make me turn on the club
And pray tell, what was the 'last one' of those clubs?
St Kilda - 1997 - 2009 (12 years) - another GF appearance in 2010
Western Bulldogs - 1961 - 2016 (55 years) - another GF appearance in 2021
Fremantle - N/A - 2013 (joined the AFL in 1995) (18 years)
Adelaide - 1998 - 2017 (19 years)
Melbourne - 2000 - 2021 (21 years)
West Coast - 2006 - 2015 (9 years) - another GF appearance in 2018
Sydney - 2006 - 2012 (6 years) - GF appearances in 2014, 2016 and 2022
Geelong - 2008 (1 year) - GF appearances in 2009, 2011 and then 2020 (9 years) and 2022
Collingwood - 2003-2010 (7 years) - GF appearances in 2011, 2018 and 2023
Hawthorn - 1991- 2008 (17 years) - GF appearances in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015
Richmond - 1982 - 2017 (35 years) - GF appearances in 2019 and 2020
GWS - N/A - 2019 (8 years)
Brisbane - 2004 - 2023 (19 years)
Port Adelaide - 2007 - present (16 years)
So in reality, you're annoyed that Port Adelaide isn't:
1. The biggest club in the country (Collingwood)
2. The wealthiest club in the country (West Coast)
3. In the biggest market in the country (receiving the concessions that go along with that) (Sydney)
4. The best run club in the country (Geelong)
Because every other club as taken as long as we have, if not longer, to make another GF at some point.
2023 years and still waitingJesus.
Anyone if those would be better than Hinkley.
And you lot wonder why the club doesn't listen to you. They just went out and addressed our two biggest deficiencies in the off-season for a team that still managed to finish top four and you're already writing them off as if it doesn't matter.
Do you think it might be an issue that a lot of the Big Footy Rabble Rousers have been calling for these deficiencies to be fixed for maybe anywhere up to 5 seasons and in that time they let Howard move on which arguably made things worse. This year we destroy our draft hand on what I would call very risky player acquisitions. And you lot wonder why the club doesn't listen to you. They just went out and addressed our two biggest deficiencies in the off-season for a team that still managed to finish top four and you're already writing them off as if it doesn't matter.
I haven’t got a problem with Tredrea , voted for him myself .Um, and this has been said before, no-one here is pissing on the club, but specifically Koch and Hinkley, because we want to win premierships.
"Scared" Hinkley, after a decade of proof, is most unlikely to win a premiership.
So I voted for Tredrea to IMPROVE the club, not piss on it.
If you always do what you always did, then you will always get what you always got!
How you can not see that is beyond me.
Because no other club, either now or ever before, has ever been coached by an 11 time failure with zero grand final appearances and two years left to run on his contract. No other club, either now or ever before, has ever been coached by a coach who in his last four finals series has lost, at home, to a team that we finished ahead of on the ladder and beat in our most recent match.Every other club has training reports, hype about new players and excitement about individual aspects of the club (e.g. draftees, breakout stars) and yet apparently all our board does is whinge about the same s**t over and over again.
We get it. No success under Hinkley. Kay, you've said your bit, lets move on and get some excitement for Butters to win his first Brownlow, Aliir to return to AA form now that he has help, and our new main key forward to announce themself this year.
Butters winning the Brownlow, Aliir getting another AA, Lord winning the Coleman, and no success under Hinkley are not mutually exclusive propositions. We get it. No success under Hinkley. Kay, you've said your bit, lets move on and get some excitement for Butters to win his first Brownlow, Aliir to return to AA form now that he has help, and our new main key forward to announce themself this year.

Butters might win the Brownlow, Aliir might return to AA form, and a new main key forward may announce themselves this year. But what difference will it make? We'll still (at best) crash out in another prelim because we'll still be coached by a loser with a losing mentality.
Pre-sacking threadPre-season thread heh.
We're as good a chance as any recent year..I haven’t got a problem with Tredrea , voted for him myself .
If Ken was gone I’d think excellent, if Koch was gone I’d think excellent but they’re still there so I’m focusing on the football , we’ve got as good a chance as any recent year , a changing of the guard in the team , new captain , new vice captain , new ruck , new full back I mean enjoy it , get into it I reckon . I love football, always have . I’m not going to spit chips every time I think about football , I wouldn’t enjoy that
60000 members and will build with success.
The numbers are the vote
Move on and enjoy the season
Try having a more positive mentality

If a bar is going to be set this low I expect to see Barbados Slim and Hermes Conrad giving us the contest of a lifetime.
Is this post not just whinging though?Every other club has training reports, hype about new players and excitement about individual aspects of the club (e.g. draftees, breakout stars) and yet apparently all our board does is whinge about the same s**t over and over again.

"Scenario time sons! We've just won the grandfinal and you're rushing up to dump the Gatorade on me. Break into groups of four to work on your keg skills"Umpires warmed up. Drones out. 24 minute countdown clock on the big screen. Looks like some match sim this morning
