Do you have a link to the article? I can't find anything on Google or the AFL website. Not doubting you, just trying to find the article you referenced.
From the article below:

"For instance, it would have allowed Adelaide to list one of Rory Sloane or Taylor Walker as a veteran for 2024 and opened up another spot on their primary list. The idea was designed to keep veterans in the game without sacrificing a list spot that a youngster may have taken, with the veteran’s full payments still counted in the salary cap."

Yes we can as it's a different draft/ trade year than when we received it
Are we certain?.. has that been confirmed yet?..

seemed we’ve all thought we maybe can.. but no one’s provided any solid proof to back it in yet though..

if we can it makes life easier.

If push came to shove, would we do this?

19 + 22 + 25
for
10 + 36

The only way that Melb or NM could really beat us out is by adding a future pick to the pairs of picks they own in the top 30 this year

That’s heaps more points than the Suns need. I would rather keep 19 and give a future second - then auction 19 off to get a late first rounder next year

So.. if they swap 14 and 2024 pp for 10 with north..

then swap 14 and burgess with us for 19, 21 and maybe what we get for the mcadam trade…

they can crab their way down the draft order moving capital into 2024 at the same time..

they can also, if need be, take the gamble to see if a couple of their academy players slide a few spots… and if by chance they dont.. they can simply go into deficit next year which might drop their R1 pick only a couple of spots..
Surely we wouldn’t trade 19,21, macadam for 14!

I mean, they’ll have to match two bids in the top 7 or 8, another in the early teens and another in the mid 20’s - I don’t know how much exactly they need, but it’s a lot

What if all we get for mcadam is 34?..

if thats all the dees give then as far as I’m concerned we take it for a deal like this for the suns pick..

or we send Mcadam to the PSD with a fuxk you to the dees and with the promise that if he’s there at our pick that we’ll take him.. but I dont think he’d still be there at our 1st pick in the PSd.. WC would probably snatch him!

19, 21, 34 for 14 and Burgess values Burgess at pick 14
That’s still a lot

I liked Will Gould in his draft year but I think I had the caveat that he might have grown into his body already so looked better than most. But Ive not been sold on him

If we do - ehh , if we dont - ehh - at least our kicks to the right from points might get to the wing

Do they? Reckon they already have enough - and just need to reduce the number of picks slightly for open list spots (working on a 2,6,12 type bidding range)

We can give them 22 and 25 and they already gain about 15% of extra points for pick 10

first 5 picks give them 3697 points.

Matching pick 2 with 20 % discount is 2014 points.

matching pick 5 with 20 % discount is 1502

pick 10 is 1116

(2, 5, 10 is an indicative choice based on PMBangers' mock.)

This would need 4632 points to match the first 3.

With discount, they will need around 5000 points to get the four players they want (including Graham).

That's not that easy to do ...

So that’s a no.
That's the whole point of the discussion. Some people say Welsh is top 5 pick. Same people said that about Muir last year. These people are not infallible obviously, and Welsh might not still be rates topb3 in 12 months time.

After hearing Gold Coast Cameron say that Hollands has spoken to them about moving but Carlton haven't and GC from his feedback are ok for him to move so why aren't Crows having a red hot go with one of many 2 nds as believe worth a shot .

Mate, if Carlton isn't rushing to get this done, it really shows how far Hollands star has fallen.

Even after dropping the puppy fat, he still looked too slow for the AFL in the small amount of footy I've seen him play at Sydney.

Watched Gould's debut game in Gather Round V Richmond. He had no idea of the game plan and just ran around pointing and trying to look busy. Would not even Rookie.
