Probably because half of them only started following the game last year or so. Harris has been a consummate professional and part of the leadership squad for some time. He deserves the recognition. Lachie is a nationally recognised face because of his ability and Brownlow, but I think most can see these are two strong leaders and having them both as captain's makes sense.

Two good results I think. Co-captains, happy with that. Also happy with Fages for another 2yrs. I don't see anyone out there better to take over at the moment. McRae maybe, give him a few more years to hone his craft at the pies, get the bugs out, then make a big play for him. Man, I'd love to see that. But no-one else I can think of, would be an automatic replacement for Fages.

Probably blame him for our defensive woes without realising there isn't much he can do if our defensive efforts are lacking further up the ground.

Can't take nothing away from Harris and Lachie personally or indivudually, but I dont like the outcome of having co-captains. To much of sitting on the fence and not making the hard call to disappoint either lad. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for both but if your naming a captain, then name one.

I saw on that announcement video they had a bunch of lads on the screen and said 5 made the short cut. Who then were the other 2 and are they now DVC or was everryone on that screen now DVC? The other faces i recall include Gunston, Dunckley, Charlie, Jerry, Lester - may have missed someone.

As for Fagan being exteneded - I dont get it. Again, I'm not unhappy, but why the rush? I mean its not like someone is coming for him and secondly, if we have a poor season and don't make top 4, then i think he should be moved on and extending him only complicates that. I mean his gameplan is questionable to some degree - hopelly it changes this year and we win the GF. IDK, i think we should have waited until season's end to make this call.

Today's news is pretty mixed bag in my view - ooking fwd to to seeing the Reserve tomorrow tho so that should make up for todays news.

I think if we have a poor season the first option would be to refresh the assistants and that's why they extended.
