Ed Curnow being omitted in Indigenous Round would be completely inappropriate so I kind of get it.
I missed the part where this club became a charity…

We’re in the business of winning football games and gifting blokes games won’t get us W’s.

Drop younger player with good pace
Retain slow player as sub
Promote old limited slow player
Carlton…
I'm not sure Vossy thinks about the things we see as 'off' in the same way.
He has certain ideas, and just keeps trying to march toward them.
I feel like I'm going to look out on a nightmare crash at the game, whilst hoping to be spectacularly surprised with an upset win.
It sure is a weird mix of feelings.

I’m thinking Ed got the nod this week for two reasons, one he obviously has a tagging role I’m hoping that’s sideass and two for his experience by that I mean if we’re still in the game late (which is doubtful) he’s probably the one out of the remainder that the coaches trust won’t panic to the nth degree …

Would love to see Kennedy play 50/50 HF/Mid. Think he would be great in that role - very nice hands on the lead and a great set shot

Agree he is the mid that has the most forward potential.Odd that he has been pushed down back at times this year.

Similar to what they did with Cerra last week. The guy played super as a key mid against Brisbane and for his trouble he’s assigned a role as a defensive mid starting on half back against the Bulldogs.

Have faith, Ye Ed cautious Heathens. He will arise from the ashes, leading us to the promised land. And ye can all lick from the spoon of triumph. It is written. Right here.
Ed to run with Daicos N.

Think I'm going to have to take a break from footy.
Club has completely lost the plot.
Ed back in afer 2 touches (one effective) in 30mins as the sub...
Hewett dropped after 20 touches, a goal and 6 score involvements...
Cerra moved from the middle to HB last week, despite being our best mid this year...
Kennedy dropped after getting 21 touches, 8 marks, 5 intercepts, 5 score involvements...
Kennedy NOT getting back in the side after 7 touches, a goal, 2 tackles, 2 clearances, 2 i50s from just over 30mins as the sub...
Subbing off Hollands last week for Ed...

Absolute joke.

Maybe it's Ed straight to Naicos for the whole game , or until buggered , then George does same role is what I'm thinking
Just don't see it. Sure, Ed can run all day, but he doesn't have the pace to keep up with Nick. He will have a field day.

Ed with daicos don't think will work Ed isn't that guy anymore he got away with old prestia
Round one Sinclair played him for a fool daicos is learning this tagged capper I know but now Pendles back from the eye injury with sidebottom and crisp will be able to interchange and run off Ed .. just got to be prepared to run and kick over there half back line like Brisbane did -- Adelaide made them accountable but we don't have their fwd weapons across the whole fwd line

Another week, another set of team changes I can't make sense of.

Boyd selection surprising. Didn't think his VFL form warranted consideration.

I don't understand Hewett as the sub - not sure what they expect to get from him in this role.

Motlop has been quiet. Fisher has potential for more impact, a bit more versatile and can go into the middle if we need a different look in there.

Cincotta stiff. Hope they don't even think about using Kennedy down back again.

It's safe assume at this point no matter how poorly Ed Curnow plays he is getting picked every week. 🤯

Maybe, with our Bye not being until round 15, we are managing our mids Kennedy, Ed, Hewitt so far and preparing for a big tilt in the back half of the year.

All I have…

We leave it to late we won't make it back to the eight--

Bombers have nth wc twice to come - Adelaide so many home games ..
maybe saints will drop out..

I agree. Most likely is not the reason why he is playing. He deserves his spot in the team in my opinion. I just don't think it would have been good to omit him this round considering the work that has been done.
It's not a Christianity/missionary thing I hope.

Based on the lineup Ed goes to Daicos, I don’t hate it.. Ed’s kicking can hurt us less if he plays in the forward half and if he can restrict Daicos it’s a win for us.

Strange they would name TDK and then not play him, but wouldn’t surprise me if there is a typical late out.

Hewett sub is strange..

Unfortunately I think Boyd is going to get seriously exposed & be straight back out. Form hasn’t been great & hasn’t looked fully match fit in the 2s (not even close to putting together 3 quarters let alone 4 against the Pies). Not knocking him, I like him but he hasn’t been great & putting him in against the best opposition, in front of a monster crowd, on a wet day is poor management imo

Anybody have any idea the people who makeup our match committee for team selection?
Just a little curious…
Who’s Chairman of selectors?

Voss
Assistants?
Llyod?
