the fresh blood with a bit of hunger could help stop this lot from dropping their bundle entirely. you get the sense that a huge loss is just around the corner.
or the incoming players could be that slightly less better in a way that it won't matter how passionate they are and we get smashed anyway.

i don't have anything to add about selection. i doubt melbourne will be too concerned about how we might present at ball ups or bounces as they'll be busy running their race knowing they have systems in place that already work. we should be a little more unpredictable at any given time though.

i have a few concerns about what happens on the training track. the talk of no time for goal-kicking practice (from what i've read on here) is a bit alarming. what else don't they have time for? might be worth trying the 'let's try desperately to win in the last quarter' at an earlier point in the game.

I think Cripps will want to play even though he's going to be sore, especially with the outs we will already have
Injuries and suspensions will make selection a lot less suspenseful. I wish we could see more omissions.

Melbourne have too many big men up forward with the spare ruckman, Young back in.
I've picked Dow in my team but I doubt he will get a game.
Docherty back to permanent defender please. No more Kennedy HBF.
Durdin dropped to sub. The three smalls aren't working. Use Kemp or Cottrell or anyone else really as an extra forward, the current mix isn't working.

Ed wasn't too bad, and I also don't think he did too bad of a job on N Daicos either but our season is over. He won't be here next year, let's move on please.

We need to find a way to release Saad! It is killing us having him subdued in the back half. Get him the footy at every opportunity.
