Being at the ground you can see how much the team has matured. When the pies would launch their counterattacks off half back, you notice down the ground that the players were not going sucked into the next contest. They left it to the players in the vicinity to deal with. The defence would get into position.

Time and time again the Pies would charge off half back but then were forced to slow down because we had plugged all possible holes in our back half. They very rarely got any overlap once they got it past the centre.

Our defence has been magnificent and the continuity off having a back 6 play together is making a massive difference.

Geez the AFL site has no idea re our bests. Moore named as their best while Charlie isn’t mentioned. No clue.

Wow - that is classic.
Despite having the number 6 next to his name, directly above the 'Best', you'd think winning the Dick Pratt medal might shed some light on his game...

Been critical of Kemp, and while he had some suspect moments, thought he had a much better defensive mindset

Great sign of growth

I thought he was average tonight, pretty much all of the many marks the filth took contested or marked in their forward line he was very near to have an influence

Oli Hollands made the softest of errors early and showed what sort of a kid he is and smashed in not only for the rest of the game but for 3 possessions straight away.
He is made of the right stuff.

Jack Martin is my most frustrating player. I love his grouseness like tonight but I wanna see it sooooooo much more often. He is THE difference between us being a maybe to look the truck out.

Wonderful showing. We got them grabbing at us instead of running over the ground like untouchables. Moore/Murphy grabbed out of fear because Charles is DA MAN.

One last shout. Nic Newman missed our last 4 games last year and we fell short. This guy is heart soul and any other superlative ya can conjure. Well
Done Man.

And they were full strength and we ( personnel wise) can only get better.
Well done lads.

2 out of my 3 best on ground, Weiters was bog though, Charlie unlucky!!

Ventured to the Dark Side and told them what I thought........

Expect to be 'sentenced' but just couldn't let some campaigner crap on without any retort. Had the temerity to call us "laughing stocks", I reminded him the 2 flags in 60 years didn't give him the right to the moral high ground......

Campaigners everywhere

Jack Martin was terrific yet again. Puts on blocks for Charlie, directs traffic in the forward line. Has been awesome since his return.

2nd bog, brilliant game.

I rarely worry about outcome short term, to me it's more about mindset which translates longterm

Kemp still struggled with positioning, but did have a defensive first mindset

Hey Collingwood lurkers...

A fit and injury George Hewett stepping up to the plate in the midfield in the absence of Bam Bam and Walsh was crucial tonight.

And clearly is one of the most liked and popular guys and club man after the game with the special presentation after his 150th game.
