Cottrell and Hollands mauling that ball across out F50 line against superior forces, before getting it out to Owies for the finish their efforts deserved.

Fogarty for composure and decision-making in the lead-up to both of our last two goals - couple of nasty receives but kept his head, gave off to our advantage and an F50 mark. Great reward for effort from a hard, smart footballer. Last off-season, I'd have delisted him and paid him out... but two months of humble pie has never tasted so good!

Just watched the Cunningham tackle again. He's gone. AFL will give him 2 or 3. They don't relent on this crap.
He let go an arm and tried to go soft. SPS held on the whole way and gave it more.

But yeah 1 week or at least a heavy fine.

.99 prelim - win over Essendon and Kennett loses election

13 final - cement Richmond as Ninth-mond forever

Today - big win and Matilda's

Both the first and last memorable for more than just footy.
2023 - Blues beat Pies by a point after the siren in the Grand Final and Matildas win the World Cup 😀

What would be worse is the AFL coming out and agreeing that score review was wrong. I want our season and comeback to be defined by pure determination and hard work. Not by a dodgy goal umpire decision.
What are you on about. The goal umpire believed it was touched, and the video review could not confirm that it wasn’t touched, eos.

I think Cincotta taking out the players legs (great desperation) should’ve been a free kick but there were probably so many other decisions or non decisions that could have gone the other way. Should we review all those and work out who was hardest done by??

This was a gutsy win without Cerra, Walsh, Harry and MCG. Enjoy it ffs.

No second motion. Cunners no added aggression during tackle. Melbourne players arms were free and after tackle Melb player passed ball to ump thinking nothing of it.

was definitely unnecessary for cuningham to take the tackle that far. but compared to some of the sling tackles, the guy played out the game. he was definitely conscious enough to play it up.
there were some turf head-hits that were harder in general play tonight.

99? We beat Essendope that day... Mad Dog Brown took out their big CHB before he could pump it forward.....
He was talking about our final against Richmond. Responding to my comment about 2013 was a good day for us.

100% agreement from me.

I detest(ed) Kennet and everything his 'burn it to the ground' philosophy stood for. He was only interested in making money for his corporate and real estate mates. Eff the plebs. Horrid man.

Booting the Tigs was sweet.

I watched my 2nd full length soccer game in years tonight. The game itself is boring with patches of tension and brilliance, but those last few minutes and the heartbreak of a penalty shoot out was something special.

Maybe they should just cut out the boring stuff and just have a 15 minute game of penalties? would improve the game immensly.

I don't understand all the chest beating here. Am I the only one who is not at all happy with the win? Our season now looks to have an asterisk on it all over a rather dubious score review.

Don't get me wrong, 8 in a row looks sweet on paper, but it now looks undeserved.

The game will always have controversies. But this one kills me inside. I want my team fighting and winning fair.

Wouldn't it have also been better to lose that one for the sake of the players' psychological approach? I don't want them getting ahead of themselves now in these last two games.

Sometimes you eat the bar.

And sometimes... Well, the bar eats you.

We've been on the wrong end of a stack of bad beats. Nothing wrong getting one back every now and then.

Let's face it, the umpires have had a mare all weekend so far.

You have to be in it to win it. We were. Not only that, in incredible heat and intensity around the ball. We never gave up, never shirked it. That's what defines this team, not a bit of umming and arring over a score review.
