Are we getting any of these dudes back anytime soon though.
Sceptical about how many we get back and how long it takes them to get back to speed.
Two games plus a final (maybe) . I’m not anticipating much change TBH.
Apparently Walsh is ready to go for next week (suns game).

Cerra should be right for giants clash.

The others seem a little further off, but hopefully we get McGov, Harry and JSOS back for our first final. Kennedy could be out a little longer.

Crazy to think that after Charlie goalled with 15:42 left in the game, our score was 9-6-60 (to 6-6-42). Joel Smith kicked a goal with 11:23 left to bring Melbourne’s score to 8-6-54. We didn’t score for the last 15:42 minutes left and was only leading by one goal with 11 and a half minutes remaining. We weathered every storm perfectly.

Also, if that was paid deliberate then doesn’t the free kick have to be taken behind the boundary line? Or maybe holding the ball? Both seemed to be called.

Rolled Gold

Couple of wtf moments, Fish’s kick on his right, Charlie tunnelling Rinaldo instead of grabbing the ball…

But we found a way, absolutely magnificent

Agreed for all the hysterics about the goal umpire’s call - which was clearly touched - what was overlooked was Gawn getting away with whatever he liked in the ruck contests. Not only that but it seems like Gawn feels the need to umpire the game. Melbourne have a few like that - May, Lever and Petracca too - yet we still won!!!

Tdk and Pitto never gave up though and had the better of the big mug despite this. Just a brilliant effort by the team. Melbourne threw everything at us and we still won even with McKay, Walsh, Cerra, Gov, Kennedy and SOS out.

Hewett - 33 Disposals - 23 contested possessions; 8 total clearances.
Amazing game!

Disposal numbers can be very misleading. You can have a player have great numbers but do absolutely nothing with it

In saying that, the thing that stood out for me in regards to Hewitt was his composure.

In that last quarter, when the game was there to be won, the amount of times he got the ball in the Melbourne half when serious pressure was being applied was amazing. What made it even better was the composure he had, he looked like he had more time than he did to dispose of the ball and made the right decision each time.

That is the Hewitt I remember from last year and I'm absolutely elated to have back. When he plays like that he is a starter in every team in the league, thankfully he plays for Carlton

Well Done George, player of the match for me!!

Who is the commentator who sounds like a Basil Zemplas impersonator with a mouth full of food?

Jobe Watson?

I don't mind his insight, but his garbled elocution doesn't inspire confidence.

TBC but I believe the New England Journal of Medicine have done a study linking Jobe’s speech slur to the consumption of Thymosin Beta 4.

Basil, on the hand was just born like that!!!

Voss looks like he’s going to cry
I'm delighted for him, after all the criticism and stick he got earlier on in the year.

Eight wins in a row though, the critics and the naysayers have been well and truly put back in their boxes now!

There is no other player in the AFL that gets looked after like this prick. Constant soft frees for, hardly gets pinged for numerous infringements. Always looking straight at the umpire when it doesn't go his way. Sick of it

Great team effort, Kemp and Dow show that the development coaches are earning their money and maybe just maybe everyone can take Paddy Dow off their miss list, love the difference he offers.
