Fisher has not taken a step back since returning. I think most would've thought Boyd would take his spot as a given. But Fish has continued to perform week in week out and might say he could be in career best form now. 28 touches nothing to sniff at!
He’s creative game sense and unique abilities within contested situations and general play is as good as it gets, not many players have this type of gift that can sum up in a split second the right moves in the moment which benefits his teammates…
He’s last few weeks playing behind the ball has been exceptional, would like him to continue playing and developing in this role for the rest of the year, keep letting him sharing the responsibility with our kick outs, he has the smarts to identify & create hit ups differently from our other defenders…

I think he’s better than sticks
Yeah, agree.

If he kicks about another 500 goals, wins a couple of flags, captains the team for about a decade. And……..

Mate, Sticks kicked over 1000 goals in senior footy across his SANFL & VFL career. He’s in the Carlton Team of The Century as Captain.

He’s an all time great.

Charlie is a stud, but he’s got a long way to go even to tie up Stick’s shoe laces.

that anderson shot at goal with 40 seconds left had misiti, misiti, misiti written all over it..........
Was there for Misiti's kick.

Was sure it was going through and it was all over.

Most glorious bounce ever...

About damn time we got some luck on our side, eh?

What an awesome win! I was signing the Charlie Curnow song as per Pommylovescarlton ... we should definitely adopt it around the ground.
Mrs Pom still relieved that the littlest pom was asked at school to sing a song they associate with an english sports team (hes proud his dad is english) he belted out Im going up the spirit in the sky, its where im gonna go when i die, when i die and they lay me to rest im gonna get on the piss with georgie best, and not the Charlie one! some of the kids have adopted it and sing it hahahhahah

I mean I can mount any argument I want. I don’t recall enough of Doull.

Sticks I loved but he was nothing on Charlie at his best. Nothing. Sticks was never in the convo for best player in the afl. Diesel was not at his best in the 4 years he played with us. Neither was Judd - despite the lucky Brownlow.

Charlie is the most talented player we have had. He’s more talented than Kouta and Fev- the two most talented I’ve seen. He’s out of this world good. His year this year reminds me of Kouta in 2000. But better. And I LOVED Kouta.

His 60m drill passes inside 50 are unmatched in my lifetime by any player I’ve ever seen. Any club.

He should win the aFL MVP this season. He’s the best player in the afl.

He has finally matched talent with an ability to stay injury free. He had a full preseason this year and clearly picked up a yard on last year. Which has translated into this incredible season.

Must be closing in on top 5 champion player rating for the year so far. Amazing for a forward.

I don’t think any Carlton player I’ve seen has had a better year.

Just my opinion.

Not better than Kouta of 2000, however if Charlie keeps going and leads us to a flag I may reconsider.

Sticks did it for a lot longer so would still be ahead, Diesel was still a super player for us until at least the end of 1995, and was still a damn good player in 97 when he retired.

It depends how much you prize longevity or peaks in careers.

This moment, along with Charlie taking the game sealing mark epitomise this win for me. Jack Martin, along with most of the team, had patches where they took the easy and ineffective option. His play-on checkside effort that didn't even result in a score in the 3rd was a moment of frustration, but he was also capable of this.

With 9:12 left in the 4th, Martin halved a two-on-one contest, which allowed Acres to apply pressure that resulted in the ball spilling to Motlop, an immaculate I50 and Charlie's goal that truly put us within reach of Gold Coast.

Opposition fans and naysayers can point to luck, but it's also moments like this that have led to our resurrection. We've had a list talented enough, but when they're willing to do the unglamourous, difficult and selfless things, the Blues are capable of anything.

I have Curnow behind peak Kouta, but only just.

Without injury he’d be in a conversation all of his own, but I’m incredibly grateful for what we’ve got right now.

Still behind peak Kouta (but possibly everyone is).

In a nine-game stretch, Kouta went 30+ disp and 2+ goals in six of them.

Went 31/1, 29/2, 28/2 in the other three.

Has 31/1 and 26/4 either side of the stretch.

Wasn't kicking quite as many goals as Charlie but was also racking up touches like Crippa AND taking as many marks as Weiters does.

Was just stupid. Like playing a game with a cheat code.

Woo hoo go on ya good things finals here we come.:D The phrase go on ya good thing is an Irish way of expressing delight at something!

I was a bit concerned after that first quarter, but we came back well in that second quarter. Once we were within sight of them at half time, sure it was never in doubt then.;)

All credit to Vossy and the players for turning things around, because things were looking bleak after the defeat to *.

All credit to Luke Sayers and Brian Cook as well for sticking fat with Vossy when the going was tough, and the vultures were circling.

Flag number seventeen is just four more finals wins away, if we get some of our key players back from injury then we can go all the way.

There's not much more to say really other than good on ya Baggers we're back!
