Although may be blasphemous to some, Cunningham could be at risk as one of the ones who makes way once we get closer to full strength. Seems to be fading in and out a fair bit the last couple.

Definitely a sub vest candidate, that's for sure.

I still like him in the 22 even when he's not dominating games. Has a balanced game, usually makes the most of his opportunities when they come, and even if the ball isn't falling his way he still demands close checking by an opponent because he can make a 70m play if he gets the ball in a bit of space.

I’m not even going to try and presume what changes we should and/ or will make.

To be honest, I don’t care anymore - in a good way. It’s clear the system is standing up, regardless of who is in the team. So I completely trust the MC to make the right call(s).

We should win this and win it convincingly (9+ goals). Cement our spot in the finals boys!

Go baggers 👍🏻

Can't drop 2/3 wingmen.

Kennedy battling Dow for the sub spot if he gets back to fitness.

Is Walsh not also an elite runner?

Also, we are severely lacking run with Pitto lumbering around out there. Jack will make up for this deficiency.

So really it's one winger rotation and we will be able to make up for with others in the team rotating there.

Walsh could certainly play wing, but surely that's not the way we go?
His best footy is as a mid.

I agree, I'd play Jack before Pitto. But then maybe not this week against Witts.

I feel we can only get better with Harry back in .

Teams have been double teaming Charlie and it has made it tough for him and Big H back would not allow that .

Harry to roam further up the ground clunking those big marks on the wing whether from kick ins or defensively.

His running, size and strength a nightmare match up that oppo teams would not be able to counter.

If you were coaching against us would you want Harry out there?........ I think not.

Add to it Charlie close to goal is frightening for defenders too and attracts free kicks for him, also allows him to score from those
special things that only Charlie can do when close to goal.

When we get 5 plus goals from the two big fellas we DO NOT LOSE!

Does not matter if it is Charlie 4 and H one .

I think it has been shown many times that we are better with our TWIN TOWERS 🏨

Throw in Walsy and Cerra in next few weeks and LOOK OUT!!!!!!

100% agree re: Harry. Whilst we’ve still been winning, there’s been numerous occasions where I’ve thought “I’d love Harry in the team right now”. Namely the ones you’ve already pointed out - the double teaming on Charlie and those long kicks to the wing with no tall presence there.

From the sound of Lloyd’s interview on SEN this morning, he will go close this week.

Harry in... then to the team that wishes to continue to double team Curnow, good luck. I'd almost throw Harry as a pure FF and let Curnow roam. Charlie can kick them from 55m and deliver into the F50 beautifully. Harry might be better off limiting his need for running too much in his first few games back and plonking him closer to goal might be better.

Spots are tight and let's be honest, we wouldn't want it any other way. Can't believe we are actually faced with this problem... literally every player has been in scintillating form apart from a very select few.

Need to find a way to potentially include:

Harry, Walsh, Cerra, Kennedy, Gov, Jack and Boyd.

Going to be some very unlucky exclusions. None of these players deserve to be dropped apart from maybe Pitto imo. That's not to say he's been bad, he does provide a physical contest against the bigger bodies that makes life easier for our mids... but yeah around the ground we don't get enough from him.

Definitely tight. Is there a limit to the number you can name on the extended bench... for I'd just continue to dangle the carrot and naming all those involved in our current streak that aren't in the starting 18 on the extended bench.

1 point will do me, although I'd prefer it to be comfortably sown up early in 4th quarter. Still getting over last game... (in a delightful way).

Ideally we go blitz first quarter, demoralize them enough as their season is over to limit their desire to give a strong fightback. They have a strong midfield and Cas usually gets his kicking boots in against us.

Giving it a crack:
Walsh for Hollands (Doc back to the wing)
Cerra for Dow
Boyd for Fisher
JSOS for Pittonet
Gov for Cincotta or Marchbank (depends on the balance we want down there)
McKay for Cuningham (tough one but cunners has dropped off)
Kennedy and Hewett fighting for that last spot. Hewett's in great form but want to see how he plays with the others back - Kennedy was complimenting them beautifully

Love this, agree with nearly all of it. I think Cincotta is a lock now – he is our Brayden Maynard (minus the cringey macho carry on). I would swap Cunners with Mots – Jesse is a future star but I think DC offers more atm even when he's quiet. Can't discount the extra mid rotation. The combination of Martin, Fog, Cunners and Owies up forward turned our season, and DC will impact even more with his BFF Harry back I reckon.

You guys talking about dropping Cunners...

He had 7 tackles (equal 2nd) and 31 pressure acts (1st), 8 defensive half pressure acts (the most of any of our forwards and more than Newman, Marchbank)

He's not getting dropped.

Now I'm no expert - but I reckon a returning Harry would be better off playing higher up the ground. Let him play more at CHF and go on long searching leads, instead of playing him deep where he'd need to lead, double back and lead again on repeat, not to mention having to fly in a few pack mark situations. CHF seems like it would put less strain on the knee, it's more time travelling in a straight line and marking in space, rather than constant directional changes, burst leads and pack marks.

I have the easy changes we can make as:
McGov for Marchbank
Walsh for E. Curnow
Cerra for Dow
Boyd for Fisher

I believe Harry does come in when ready although I’m unsure as to who comes out.

Controversial: I don’t believe we’ll see JSOS or Kennedy again this season unless one of the talls or Martin get injured.

Agree with all except for Fish.

I love reading the debates over who will come in and who will be dropped.
I just want the best team in.
And I want 9 wins in a row. 9 is my favourite number.
A win and finals guaranteed.
We are getting great contribution from the whole team,. Which is great to watch.

That’s the thing, what does our best team look like without disrupting the ship.

I don't think Harry is anywhere near as effective insde 50m personally. And his kicking for goal is sub par at best. Harry seems to be able to take vital contested marks coming out of defence and on the wing. So I think Charlie stays put, Harry takes the up the field role. The only negative to that is we don't get Charlie's amazing long passes inside 50m as often.

Charlie goes wherever he wants when he wants to, it’s a shock factor play anyway. He was doing the same thing when H was in the team

I'd be really surprised if all of Cripps, George and Kennedy are not in the 22 when available. Voss has traditionally preferred the contested, big bodied types over the faster by ball movement and legs types.
As good as they all are, I hope we don't take this path and at least give Dow the sub job.

He did…if this last 8 weeks hasn’t woken him up to the fact that mixing it up in the middle is the way to go and having different types/skillsets, then he’s way dimmer than I’d ever think he was at Brisbane in the coaches box

I heard Joey Flogtana's commentary suggesting he wouldn't bring McKay straight back in. David King was pulling the biggest WTF face, Joey has no idea. Harry walks straight back into this side.

On return I think a role reversal would suit both Harry & Charlie. Harry does his best work out of the goalsquare. He's a great lead-up mark, but a Coleman Medallist level when played at full forward.

Charlie's versatiltiy would be amazing further up the ground and get him even more involved in the game. We've seen some of it on display lately given he's had to play both FF and CHF. His field kicking is absolutely sublime. As athletic as Kouta. And nobody will be able to go with him for 4 quarters. Could easily see him averaging 20 & 3 and tearing the finals series to shreds.
That everyone is speaking about it, is all the media cares about.

Click bait.
