Is it absolute madness to triple downgrade? I think Johnson, Williams & Roberts are 3 of the better rookies we'll get in a season where there aren't many, and along with hopefully Mitchell next week, it's worth grabbing them all. Accordingly have gone Goater, Ginbey & Mackenzie out for the three, which feels a bit bonkers. But means next week I can go an Alwyn/Wilmot down to a Mitchell and a Constable up to effectively anyone I want.

Could let Williams slide and get Butters in instead or similar, I guess. But feel like getting all 3 might be a real smart play long term, even if a bit odd this week.
Am thinking the same, but will probably settle for two. Williams and Johnson atm

Ginbey to Roberts via Sheezel
Chandler to Ziebgull- get those rookies off
Davey/Mackenzie (depending on teams) to Williams and bank the cash

Plenty of half decent cheaper options in Fwds this week apart from Butters Cogs Heeney etc.
Take out Rnd 3 from punchable's scoring then have another look at his price. He's in good form. No law against having 3 Greens.
Hawkins normally ordinary against Sydney even at the cattery, but Sydney may not have even a single KPD to field this time....points ?? THEN....in Rnd 7 you can bank on him absolutely pasting the Dons as per usual. He'll still rise 30K+ this week regardless.

Leaning towards the following:

Ginbey, Baker, Caminiti
To
Touk, Roberts, Williams

Leave me with 120k or thereabouts in the bank
DPP is awesome. Not having Green this week isn't.
Open to any other ideas

Assuming Caminiti gets weeks thats the exact trade i m doing too

I dont trust Roberts JS at all. Think Johnson is the better option
Yeah noone is under any illusions. Damn hard for him to get a gig, now he needs to hold onto it. Likely he gets another start this week though. Even Gould could get another this week and suddenly be on the bubble ....but can he be bought if defenders are due back ?
Up to everyone to decide. Johnson does look good buying, Williams too.

Dunkley, Taranto, Jez, Sheez should all finish above - Sheez not exactly playing a fall off a cliff role as a rookie.

Butters, Rozee as high CBA mids with better skill than Coniglio, Ziebell as seagull, Smith if he gets a good role in the Dogs mid rotation, Baker if he doesn’t be a Mr Fix It all year as a back flanker, and Dylan Moore if Hawks can be competitive will also be up there.
You can't really give the primary reason for Cogs not being top 6 as his disposal, and then put Taranto above him. Cogs has proven he has a way higher ceiling. Maybe Taranto finishes with the higher avg through consistency, but if your reason for Cogs not being top 6 is just he's a butcher, he's def not worse than Taranto there. In fact Cogs disposal efficiency is 69% vs Taranto 61%.

First bye is still a fair few weeks away. Then he covers the rest of the more difficult byes.
Point being points gained from now til then vs waiting and maybe paying a bit more.

My SP mid upgrade list this week was
1. Neale
2. Merrett (bargain but suspension looming) so wait a week.
3. Touk.

I already have Oliver, Laird, Bont and if I can get to 6-7 SP mids sooner than later may help me catch up from bad starting team.
Then pick up low ownership risk picks for differential’s on the run home.

Thought zerrett was a fine .
But Green got a week

I am going to hold Ginbey

Only needs one spike game to get his cash gen going again and that extra cash will come in handy down the track.

Me too.

I can't day Chayce Jones was on my watchlist - but he fits and might be a stepping stone.

and plays the Hawks

It looks like I’m going get a few upgrades without even further trading - I wonder how many more bonuses I’ll get :drunk:

This week JDG - likely returns
Next week Day & Green

Mildy surprised Neale isn't a more popular trade in after his score on the weekend and a 90 BE. Should he be in the OP Maybe Tomorrow ?

I'm in the bargain bin camp though, JZ for 440k who could be a top 6 fwd.

I find it a bit hard to get a read on Neale this year, was only ok the first month (avg. 103) and then pumped out a monster on the weekend (176) against a terrible North Melbourne. A lot of mids seem to have started a bit slow this year, maybe a result of the way the game is being played?

I don’t have stats but is there less stoppages/less tackles/less defense in this month that was impacting mids and the game has lended itself to the half back seagulls over the first month? Not sure.

Neale is a freak though with a scoring history as good as any and the ability to put up huge scores, so I’m strongly considering bringing him in now with a BE of 90.

My recollection was he had an injury just before the season started? Maybe that explains the slowish start.

I want to bring Dawson in. Will his form continue? I’m trading out ginbey, baker and amartey. For him Williams and roberts.
