If we end up with 9, 10 and 19 and only intend on 2 picks at the draft, then we look at Geelong for pick 7.

Was reported Crouch had a several incentive bonuses built into his contract. Barrett reported they were easily achievable. He also mentioned the bonuses would've got him up around band 1 territory.

North will get pick 3. The only reason the afl decided the free agent deals will be judged against the previous pay deal was to engineer this result. It's purely accidental that it gets us a 2nd rounder.

It's a free agency compensation pick that should be aligned with the offer.
It shouldn't be up to North or the AFL.

But north retain a guy that structurally is critical for them in that scenario - so they should always have been aiming to keep him anyway
