The media couldn’t care less about Fremantle because they are a joke. The yearly exodus and trade in of replacements and missing pieces is just par for the course.

The AFC actually has some prestige, having been a high performing club. You took two premierships from the VFL, been to the final four/in contention numerous times and were a couple of quarters away from saluting in 2017. The VFL media love to kick successful “interstate” clubs when they are down/fail, hence why the wall to wall pieces about the players wanting out, camp etc etc.

Fremantle and Port are treated with kid gloves by the VFL media. You just have to laugh really 😆

The AFL media also has to treat the powa with kids gloves as their supporters are so sensitive and fickle that any bad publicity and the tarps need to be dusted off..

Found crouch 2 on Twitter

Now…

if the rumour instead went…

”Conor Rozee’s mum wants her dear little pumpkin Conor traded out of Port Adelaide cause those nasty men coaching him there are mean to her little precious”..

I might believe it..

Hearing we are waiting for a few trades to get done then we will make play for a left field as big as Dawson.

Come from a connection to talant manager Anthony Panozzo (hemisphere management).
Hemisphere have a couple of suns players..

maybe the connection is Jack lukocious manager?. Or suns players leaking to Anthony. and the “big as Dawson” is Jack..

there were rumour floating around about Jack earlier in the year..

fxxk.. i’d be pissed if we spend all our draft capital on him when we need mids..

but i’d do 2 of our seconds and next years first for luko and burgess..

then got the best mid available at pick 9 and small forward Ashton Moir with the one pick in the 20’s we dont trade..

Murphy finished top 10 in our own best and fairest.... does that make him a superstar in the making?
If anyone thought we were getting an average player when we drafted Dawson, it says quite a bit about their capacity to judge players.

1) In the space of less than 2 seasons he went from playing in the Twos to being rated as one of the Swans top three players (virtually tied with Lloyd in second place).

2) He went from “solid” to being a fantastic rebounding half back in less than a season. He was then moved onto the wing/half forward and looked even better.

3) We were very, very lucky to make it clear to his agent that we were very keen before his rapid improvement.

4) Sydney were a bit slow in recognising how good he would become and initially low balled him. Once the penny had dropped he had already made up his mind (thank god).

I believe something similar happened with Redman but Essendon talked him around with a 5 year deal on big money. He admitted after he had re-signed with Essendon that he was looking to leave the Bomres twelve months earlier but he saw all blue sky under Brad Scott. The funny thing is that from the moment he signed Essendon crashed and burnt.

FA next year

He’s one I wouldn’t mind chasing at all, his position in the Giants 22 became a bit more insecure this year
With our cap space, we have to nab one or 2 decent FAs. They all know we have money. We don’t necessarily need one for next year as we are unlikely to be a flag threat, but with continued improvement and development plus top up with experience for 2025, we should be.

Agree 100%

Not sure if there’s an inside mid FA that’s readily available and worth getting for us, though. I’d probably look at Cumming (outside speed), Hayward (Shaneo replacement, frees up mid minutes for some of our current forwards) and Conor Nash (197cm mid)

McCluggage should be thrown a bag too obviously, but the chances of that actually happening are incredibly low

That’s in addition to whatever trade targets we might chase too, of course

The only way to lure FA's aside from cash is on field performance. We have to show we are a small step away from a sustained successful period. I think we are close. If we push for a top 6 position next season, its not going to be a stretch to think we are in with a good shot of luring a high profile FA.

If we were seriously going to enquire about oliver that means we have atleast $1m in cap space..

fxxk me..

surely some of this could be thrown in front of a McClugage, a Coleman, a Zac Bailey or something similar.. overpay if we have to and front end it.

hell.. at this point I’d be willing to get excited if Tarryn Thomas’s name came up.. ffs.. something!..

Is the list of 2025 free agents available?

McGluggage would be a great get.

Not by any means a confirmed list, but most of the names there make sense.

LDU the obvious standout. I’d be shocked if we didn’t go hard at one of Ballard or Petty. Maybe Bont is disillusioned with the Dogs at that point? Lol
