If we say… used 3 and f19 on Oliver, it surely becomes an open question whether WC would remain committed to only trading 1 if they can guarantee Curtin.

My gut feeling is WC would be prepared to take 3 and 6 from the dees and just go best available?

Imagine what he can teach your Sausages, your Zurhaars, your Curtiseses about body positioning and leading patterns. Oscar Allen is a great player who I suspect would have learned a shitload off Darling

Five pages of musings on Clayton Oliver since I went to bed, but this is still the main game. Draft top end players.

The side that just missed in the finals two years in a row wants to trade out one of its key midfielders to try to get Reid, and the side coming on yet another bottom two finish should forget about trying to get Reid and give up high draft picks for that older midfielder. Doesn’t make sense.

Oliver would all be about mitigating risk.
If he nominated us, I’d offer pick 2 and the demons take on half his salary or a bunch of our PP and we take on the whole salary or add the demons in on a mega deal with GCS and Eagles, they can take the Reid kid, we end up with two of the top 5 anyway and Oliver.
