Well, let me advise you. If Clareys behaviour is of any concern, those kinds of accusations or self demolition will occur. So if our club is serious about good role model adult behaviour, then Oliver should absolutely 100% out of the question. How will our BnF winner react when he knows how hard he has worked and then some “gun” yes, he is a gun, no doubt. Come in and s**t all over the joint for 1.5 million a year (new cba)
Ziebell, Cunners, McKay, Goldstein half our players on rookie contracts, there’s a boat load of cap space we have to spend.

This articles pretty good, suggesting senior players have been contacted to see how Oliver would fit in. You can imagine it now.
Brady gets on the blower to Jye,
Jye mate, where are you?
Just sitting by the camp fire what’s up?
I’ve got a serious question, how do you think Clayton would fit in at North?
Jye: oh you want to speak to him he’s sitting right next to me.
Brady: good point, I might ring Luke instead.
Jye: don’t be stupid, I’ll put him on, he’s sitting across from me.
Brady: ah ok, hey Luke whats up? What’ve you been up too..
Lukey: mate, I’m great, better shape then Oliver at least, we took him out on the beers last night, poor *er had his exit interview with Melbourne. Don’t worry we were completely responsible put him in a cab and everything to make sure he’d make it.
Ain’t we all grown up these days.
Brady: ok I better go
I really like the fact that even though Brady knows his name is Jy he calls him Jye, just to show him who's boss.

I love how everyone thinks every AFL player is different to any other bloke in their 20’s?

Didn’t Ginnivan get caught racking lines and 12 months later wins a flag? You telling me he was out with the rest of the team and he was the only player partaking?

Maybe Oliver wants out which wouldn’t be for the first time… Was close to joining the blues 2 years ago?
I guess the point is not over bloke in their 20s is the same.

I have zero intel on Oliver but it appears he has gone well past racking up with the boys on a night out.

Side note: I wouldn't be surprised to see Ginnivan fall out of the AFL system because he's too stupid to be discrete in the next couple of years.

Less clarry talk

More which KPP to target talk

Whatever happened to the Caleb graham rumours?

Agree, don’t think this guy was the best example to give to argue that you can carry rat bags on your list. His career has gone backwards every game since his drug scandal, he was WOG in the grand final and wouldn’t have even been close to that team if Adams, Johnson or McStay were available

Oliver and Melbourne's first pick to West Coast in return for pick 1 and something else is where this will end, IMO. No intel, just a stab in the dark.
If Oliver and Melbourne being at eachother are as bad as some are saying, Oliver has to agree to it and l cant see that happening. We could get him because Melbourne would have to do a deal with another club with high dratf picks to offer to West coast. l wouldn't give Pick#2 but l would give Pick#3 but l think the Dees would want Pick#2 so we hold all the cards especially if WC are after Curtin.

If we snag Clarry with pick 2/3, we genuinely don’t need a McKercher/Sanders.

It might allow us to be a bit more creative with that remaining 2/3 pick and trading down to a secure two top 15ish selections, which could amount to a OSullivan and Teake.

Plz gawdddd get it done NMFC. It’s time we got a flappppy red headed fishy

Next ****er who suggests trading a top pick for Oliver as if you're just picking up a completely unencumbered star player at the peak of their powers with no baggage or extremely serious caveats should get shot in the ****ing head.

i'd actually rather read more posts from that patronising Fremantle **** about how North Melbourne killed the integrity of the draft.

Blues runner settles on new home

Carlton half-back Zac Fisher will meet North Melbourne coach Alastair Clarkson and conduct a medical at Arden St this week as his move away from the Blues grows closer.

Fisher had had to get his head around moving clubs to secure more opportunities given his love of Carlton, but is now expected to join North Melbourne.

That deal of at least four years – potentially with a fifth-year trigger – means the Roos will need to ensure he has no unforeseen issues with his body.

But barring something extraordinary, the 25-year-old will add another complimentary piece to the Roos midfield, which is also set to gain Sydney’s Dylan Stephens as part of its onball make-up next year.

Fisher went to school in Perth at Guildford Grammar School with close friend and current Roos full back Griffin Logue, who was drafted out of WA in the same season.

He also played football with Cam Zurhaar, who was a 2017 rookie, in Perth as a junior.

While the Blues are likely to be a finals contender in coming seasons, Fisher is buoyed by the suite of draft picks the Roos have been allocated as they try to rise up the ladder in coming seasons.

So while he has a contract for two seasons at the Blues, the chance to play some midfield, wing and half-back under Clarkson has proven an appealing prospect.

North Melbourne will hope to secure him for a late pick given he is surplus to requirements at the Blues.

Freo supporters have a point out that swapping McKay for Oliver has destroyed the integrity of the draft.

He was a 2016 rookie draft pick. Drafted the same year as Fisher and Logue. Can his bloke write one article without making a mistake.

Everything about a Clayton Oliver move diminishes North’s hand, as he ain’t going anywhere without Melbourne securing enough to trade up for Reid.

And if it were us to take him in, it would need to involve pick3, by which time you’d just give a little more and take Reid instead.

Everything about it is shit. Stay away and pray he stays at the demons.
