tbh I am as confident with Rawlings negotiating prowess as I would be someone playing poker with their hand showing going all in on a pair of twos bluff, so I am bracing myself for the worst... but I am hopeful of a good outcome.

Rawlings secured pick 3 for Ben McKay a whole two hours ago but what has he done for us lately?

Need to mv on... it's not a one man band anymore...

Anyone saying they don’t see any value in trading Darling in as “he is finished or only has one year left” is a dinosaur with their footballing opinions re list management. Things have changed, clubs salary dump to facilitate trades and get what they actually want, ie pick 1 in this case. This isn’t 1995, Darling is 5% of what we want out of the trade, but he actually comes with experience, has won a flag, is an AA and could possibly help us out like pup did this year, and if it doesn’t work out, well no big loss as he wasn’t the main component of the trade. People forget, our list is bloody average but we need to pay at least 95% of the salary cap, Darling also helps us do that.

Thanks Ray!

I think you should consider the possibility that there are people you are responding to who have significantly better sources than you do.

Oh shit my bad.

Perhaps he wants to transition into coaching and Clarko has offered him that pathway, play for a bit and then move into coaching, ie Shiels, Lynch, etc.
Still don't see the point of it unless North are planning on doing a revamp of The Godfather and have inked him in to play Sonny.

It's a complete waste.

Darling and Haynes both savvy acquisitions, especially if we can bring in better picks with them.

We're not trying to win flags next year.

We're trying to competitive enough that our kids want to sign, our young talls are protected and we can start to resemble a competent football team again.

The point would be to make acquiring pick 1 cost less than it would cost otherwise. But I don't know how close to reality the talk is.

* supporters.

How would we feel if we traded in a 35 yr old ruckman and a so-so KD player with a concussion history and a rickety knee ?

We'd burn the house down.
In Bard they trust

What kind of knee? 🤣🤣🤣

Just quietly, organising a ticket for George to Qatar:

"Josh Gibcus had a great debut season, he had hamstring surgery in January, has had some nerve issues with his hammy. Gibcus is heading to Qatar on Friday to one of the world leaders in sports medicine. Jeremy McGovern has been there, Kylian Mbappe has been there.

And attract mid free agents that view is as a talented side on the up...

It's a pretty tried and tested recipe.

Blood doping is illegal here, I guess it is not in Qatar.
