Hello Shinboners!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

It’s no different to taking JHF over Sheezel and Wardlaw. It’s Sheezel and Wardlaw everyday of the week.

The number 1 pick is so overrated it’s not funny. It’s one player. Reid would want to be the next Wayne Carey to give up the rights to the next Shannon Grant plus Anthony Stevens.

It is totally different.... yes you would take wardlaw and sheez over JHF..... but this is Reid vs Watson/Curtin/mckerch/sanders

It all depends how those in the know view the different prospects

Do we try for Ginnivan? l know he has issues but only needs a couple of chances to impact a game...

Having a Forward line of :Thomas, Comben, Zurharr
Ginnivan Larkey Curtis

looks good...seeing as the Doggies are after Watson..
Agree. He’s elusive and clever - traits not generally associated with any fwd pocket we’ve fielded since Lindsay - so reckon he’s well worth a shot. Also gives other clubs another reason to hate us.

By the way, where is that “contractor” from the West Coast board who said it was a “lock” that we were getting Band 2? I love it when the “best sources of bigfooty” end up being frauds.
No, he hedged his bets, and said if we get band 1 it's only because AFL rorted it.😵‍💫

He just knew so much, but couldn't even stipulate a ball park figure.

Looks good although I don't think Charlie Comben has the tank to play key forward and key defender at the same time.

This is all i would do from here:

Trade 1 with Sydney

North get: Dylan Stephens, 2024 third round pick
North Give: Pick 42, 2024 third round pick

Then a three-way trade:

North give: Pick 19(PP) 2024, 2024 second round pick (NM)
North get: Zac Fisher, Nick Haynes, Pick 16

Carlton give: Zac Fisher, 2024 second round pick (Carlton)
Carlton get: 2024 second round pick (NM) 2024 third round pick (GWS)

GWS get: Pick 19(PP) 2024
GWS give: Pick 16, Nick Haynes2024 third round pick (GWS)

Then finally with GCS

North give: Pick 16, Pick 21
North get: Pick 11

Gives us a final draft hand of:
2,3,11,15

and acquisitions of Haynes, Stephens, Fisher.
Gold Coast would love that. 16 and 21 is huge overs for 11. We can do better in our trades for players if we stick to our guns. Once a player wants out, his club has automatically been placed into a weak negotiating position if it pertains a player who isn't a regular first 23 player. Sydney in particular holds a weak hand for Stephens and has nothing to gain by walking him to the PSD. Whilst Fisher is contracted, Carlton would prefer to no longer have him on their wage books.

Just spent the morning arguing with Pies supporters claiming that Bianco walks on to our wing.. LOL.

Probably the reason he was delisted is that he walks on their wing.

I gather the short memories (media and public) are bundling our Port pick that was part-payment for Horne Francis as part of the concessions bonanza? Plus now also the compensation that is the same anyone else who finished near the bottom of the ladder would get every year?
