Hello Shinboners!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Seen you guys getting with twists over 2 and 3 for pick 1 but you have to remember you aren’t trading for pick 1 in a usual year, this year it’s Reid who’s the most highly sought after draftee probably ever, also look what Gold Coast got for pick 4, three firsts 2 of which are likely top 10, eagles will probably demand too much tho so hopefully your club doesn’t offer something silly like 2,3 and something else
Getting used car salesman vibes…

What a clown, geelong gave up 3 end of first round picks for Cameron, he’s worth a pick 1. Let’s not get ya knickers in a twist. Pick 2 + two x 2024 end of first round picks for pick 1. Or you have the kid. We’ll take 2 good picks and you have one. Ok Champ?
Champ? not sure if that’s necessary but yeh like obviously we aren’t looking for a fair deal if u want him you are gonna have to pay a lot but I doubt you will so I guess enjoy Curtin and mckercher?

I’ll give you the top 10 thing my bad, look I’m not trying to sell ya Reid but if north want him you better believe you are gonna have to pay more than you are comfortable with, after pick 4 now pick 5 going for heaps of overs, essentially 800 more points than pick 1 is worth for nga and father son bids, you are gonna get bent over if you want him but like I said I doubt it happens because north are surely not gonna sell the farm
Doesn’t that clearly state how valuable top picks are? So what would we get for pick 2 on its own? Or pick 3 on its own? 2 isnt as valuable as 1 but holy shit, if teams are coughing up the farm for pick 4. You better believe that 2 and 2 x 2024 end of first rounders is enough. If its not, then be on your merry way and ship off champ.

We give WC pick two for one plus next years first or two first round this year. They need to turn pick one into multiple first round picks and we have the hand to deal. They get Curtin and a couple top picks, you do it.

Woah dude I’m saying Reid is way more valuable than 2 and your handouts and obviously the actual value will be somewhere in between what you think is fair and what I do, but Jesus no need to be so aggressive here we are just spit balling

The top 5 all appear really talented players. West coast are willing to take 2 over 1 in some bullshit trade scenario, that simply says, 2 in the top 3 is better than 1.

"The opportunity that has presented itself at Essendon is something I'm very grateful for," McKay said.

"With Brad working hard to create a world-class football program, it's something that I really want to be a part of and contribute strongly to, in the pursuit of taking this proud and powerful club back to where it belongs.

"I'm eager to play alongside and work with guys like Jordan Ridley, Andy McGrath, Mason Redman and Jayden Laverde in the backline, as well as working under coaches such as Daniel Giansiracusa, Blake Caracella and Dale Tapping."

He was never really that invested with us. He just wants to play at a so called “big” club like his brother. Brad Scott’s world class football program? Good luck with that lol
The guy really chose bard scoot over Alistair Clarkson lmao

Reid isn't worth more than JHF was back in 2021 for two reasons.

The first is that Victorians aren't as valuable. Clubs like Adelaide and Port were happy to pay a premium because there's a scarcity of elite SA prospects.

The second is that the gap between McKercher and Reid is a lot smaller than Callaghan and JHF. You could argue that Reid was a better prospect than JHF, but in my opinion McKercher is clearly an entire tier above Callaghan. I don't have them close at all.

With that said, had the rumours with JHF been as strong as they are with Reid, we likely would have accepted Adelaide's offer of Pick 5, a speculative but valuable future first pick, and a marginal pick upgrade. Had 2 and 14 been on the table I think we would have jumped at it.

If we can turn both 24 PPs into Pick 10, then I think 2 and 10 for 1 gets it done.

100%. Im down for Curtin and McKercher.

How many times in draft history has pick 1 been better than 2 and 3 combined?

Reid looks a gun, no doubt. Id love him but we shouldnt overpay.

Hopeful...

No

Not when you look at the talent rather than arbitrary numbers, you are paying overs for Reid, if this was last year there’s no way we’d be asking for 2 and 3 lol
Did you watch much of this years draft crop or just listening to media hype?

How many games do you think Reid got 3 votes in during the championship?
