Fair bit of pick 1 trade chat in this. All three seem to think a trade will be done.

I tried listening to this, I really did, but stopped after the suggestion that our F1 should be part of trade, absolutely ridiculous. What a bunch of idiots.

It's weird, the future first seems to have entered the public arena since we said no to 2 and 3. Why would we say yes to 2 and potentially 1 or 2 next year? Even 4 or 5 is nuts.

My guess is it’s the only way the media can keep the conversation going, they know 2 & 3 ain’t happening, 2 & 15/17/18 isn‘t dramatic enough for them so let’s throw in a F1. Imbeciles.

I can see us parting with 2 for 1, obviously that would change any potential later picks. West Coast would need to be very careful here, once they concede they really want 2 they also arguably concede most of their hand.

FWIW I'm personally comfortable with taking our current hand to the draft, but if the club see a reasonable scenario for 1 so be it.

Im far less confident it'll happen given the number of spots we have to fill. If a trade cost us more pick2 and one of the late firsts we'll be taking players super late in the draft.
Which im good with, we shouldnt be offering more than that. Although 2, 15, 18, for 1 and 25 works the same for the number of picks we have.

Agree. No club in their right mind would give up 1 and not get the next live pick in this scenario - 3 is the one on the table to hold onto. I personally think keeping 3 is the critical piece in this scenario. It gives us a massive crack with 2 in the top 3 (realistically best 4 given Walter scenario) players. That said I'm very much good with keeping what we have.

It’s born of a media landscape devoid of any real news.
They trot out the “North might trade all their picks for Reid” story every two seconds.
It has no basis in reality but it does allow idiots like Sam McClure to get clicks.
I miss the days when the footy news disappeared completely as soon as there was nothing to report.
