It's basically irrelevant. All that matters is we have enough points to match McCabe & Dear from Pick 10 onwards.

That's what I was going to calculate, if you've already done that, awesome! Then I'm happy.

Took me a while to figure out what we actually gave up, once I did, I was VERY satisfied. Great haul.

What guarantee was there that Ryan was going to make it?
Think of it as Ryan to Chol and Greene to Gunston. Our forward line has gotten stronger.

Not a bad fwd line to be honest…

Chol and Lewis other way around. Chol will do his best work closer to goal. Guy is very good at ground level. Lewis can hit up on the wings and push back like he did against Collingwood. Had Moore 2nd guessing all day. This will be the play for us moving forward.

As you said these picks are getting eaten up the McCabe bid so it really makes no difference to us, so not sure how you think its not great

I meant not great it terms of the fact i think we could've got better value picks, ie. might have been able to keep one to use in another trade or draft someone

Can people please stop plugging in points for future picks based on current ladder positions?

The last 5 sides to finish 16th the year after finished:
4th, 12th, 7th, 11th, 14th
For an average between 9th and 10th

The Losing grand finalists have finished:
8th, 8th, 3rd, 10th, 4th
For a finish between 6th and 7th

On expected value, the difference between our future pick and Brisbane's isn't a 14 pick downgrade. It's probably closer to a ~5 pick downgrade with upside and downside risk.

Turned the last pick in the mid season draft into Chol in 6 months, good asset management.

Ahh I thought we were swapping picks across the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds. So the F2 cost us a F4 so was a good upgrade.

Looks to me like we're not going to be drafting anyone else late in the draft.

So it's a goodwill pick or we sign him in two weeks.

Chol and Ryan are almost the same age too. Even if Ryan comes good he's coming from a fair way back and may not be at his peak as a player till late 20s. Chol is already developed just needs to fix his mindset. If he does we have a super dangerous forward line capable of kicking some good scores.
